Christ In You The Hope of Glory!

Colosians 1:27

To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:

Christ in you is the hope of glory; not the hope of shame!

That means your future, your destiny is set for glory when Christ is at work in you.

You have a glorious destiny, not a shameful destiny when you receive Jesus! Therefore, every agenda of shame programed for your life is canceled in the name of Jesus.

To appreciate the worth of the Living Christ who comes to abide in the believer by new birth, it’s good to know something about who He is and what He can do.

#1. He is the Healer (the great physician)

Jesus Christ is the great healer we saw in the new testament. Bible said he healed all manner of sickness and all manner of diseases.

Matthew 4:23  And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.

There is no exception to what kind or type of sickness that Jesus can heal. Lepers were healed. Cripples were healed. The blind, the deaf, the epileptic; they were all healed. Curable and incurable diseases were healed.

Jesus heals all manner of sicknesses. Not some manner but ALL MANNER.

For Example: For over 12years in the full-time ministry, I have seen people with diverse health challenges healed: from mild cases like headache and stomach ache, to terrible cases like fibroid, ovarian cyst, paralysis, hepatitis B, kidney problems and HIV (etc). (All to the glory of God).

So Christ in you is the great healer at work in you. That means no sickness can overcome you. The healer is always there to deal with every sickness or disease that may try to attack you.

Therefore in the name of Jesus, be free from every sickness and disease now.

Whatever sickness may have plagued your body till now, checks out in the name of Jesus.

#2. He is the mighty Deliverer

We saw mighty deliverances in the ministry of Jesus Christ.

For instance:

  • A mad man who was possessed with about 2,000 devils was delivered (See Mark 5:1-13)
  • Mary Magdalene who had 7 devils was also delivered (See Mark 16:9)
  • A woman who was held bound by Satan for 18years (so that she was bent over and could not stand straight) was also delivered (See Luke 13:10-16)

So Christ-In-You is the mighty deliverer at work in you. So your deliverance is certain.

By grace, over the years, I have witnessed Jesus manifest various deliverance in the lives of people, which includes cases of insanity, and others bound by the devil in diverse ways (such as addiction to alcohol, masturbation among others).

Therefore, in the name of Jesus, I speak deliverance for every captive of the devil.

Anywhere satan has held anyone bound, you’re delivered now in the name of Jesus.

#3. He is the Great provider

  • We saw Him feed over 4,000 people with just seven (7) loaves and a few little fishes (See Matthew 15:32-38)
  • Again, we saw Him feed over 5,000 people with only five (5) loaves of bread and two (2) fishes (See Matthew 14:15-24)

So Christ-In-You means that you will never know lack and want again in your life. He will supply all your needs. In Phil 4:19, it says,

but my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus!

So expect all your needs to be supernaturally supplied when Jesus comes into your life.

#4. He is the Great Miracle Worker

  • We saw Him turn water to wine (See John 2:1-11)
  • We saw Him walk on water (See Matthew 14:22-27)
  • He rebuked a storm and it ceased (See Mark 4:35-39)

So Christ-In-You is the Miracle Worker at work in you. That makes you a sign and a wonder among men. Miracles, signs and wonders will become a natural occurrence in your life because the miracle worker is in you.

#5. He is the Resurrection and the Life

Jesus said to Marther whose brother Lazarus had died:

…I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: - John 11:25

So Christ-In-You is the resurrection and the life at Work in you.

  • He raised dead-Lazarus back to life after he was 4-days in the grave (See John 11:1-44)
  • He raised a Widow’s only son who had died back to life (See Luke 7:11-15)
  • He raised a little girl who was dead back to life(See Luke 8:41-42,49-55)
  • Jesus Himself was killed but came back to life after 3days (See Matthew 16:21/ John 19:16-18,28-30 / Luke 24:1-6).

And He said in Revelation 1:18:

I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death

Jesus has the key of death in His hand right now. In other-words, he has power over death and power to make alive. The one who has power to make-alive is at work in you; that means you cannot die cheap. The resurrection and the life will revive you before death could have taken you.

It is written:

But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. (Romans 8:11)

The Spirit that dwells in us (by redemption) is the Spirit of Christ. He will revive your mortal body. So with Christ at work in you, death will be frustrated and humiliated in your life.

So whatever is giving up in your life, is revived in the name of Jesus.

Every dead or dying organ in your body receives life now in the name of Jesus!

Every dead business/career, dead marriage/relationship is revived in the name of Jesus.

Death of all forms is frustrated from today in your life in the name of Jesus.

Because Christ in you is the resurrection and the life in you, nothing is permitted to die in your life from now on in Jesus name.

Finally,

#6. He is the Saviour

Matthew 1:21  And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.

Acts 4:12  Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

Only the name of Jesus can save men from their sins. Only the name of Jesus can bring real salvation to humanity. There’s no other name under heaven by which we must be saved. No other name.

No matter how terrible your sins may be, Jesus will save you.

  • We saw how he saved a woman caught in the very act of adultery (see John 8:4-11)
  • We saw how he saved Zacchaeus who robbed and cheated people of their substance (See Luke 19:1-10)
  • Even on the cross, we saw how Jesus saved a murderer and thief (See Luke 23:39-43).

So no matter what your spiritual condition may be, Jesus can save you if you give Him a chance--there is no sin that He cannot forgive.

However, note that it is when you are saved that Christ comes to abide in you. Jesus said:

Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.- Revelation 3:20

Jesus is knocking on the door of someone’s heart right now. If you are that person, why don’t you open the door for Him now. He will come in and change your story. He will make your life and destiny glorious (for “…Christ in you [is] the hope of glory” - Colosians 1:27).

Therefore, if you want Jesus in your life, Please say this simple prayer:

I believe that Jesus is the Son of God and He shed His precious blood for my sins. Today, I confess Him as Lord and Saviour.  Thank you Lord Jesus for saving me!

Amen.

Congratulations! if you said that prayer. The Word of God says you are now a new creature and old things are passed away. All things are become new (2 Corinthians 5:17). In other-words, God will never call your past life (sins/faults) to remembrance. They are totally forgiven and forgotten. Check this:

I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins. (Isaiah 43:25)

For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more (Hebrews 8:12)

If you have said this prayer, we encourage you to get into a bible believing church near you where you can grow in the Lord (1st Peter 2:2 and 2nd Samuel 7:10). You can receive more inspiration by connecting through our various social media handles below:

Five (5) Key Attributes of Champions

Let us uncover in this message vital attributes highlighted on the CV/Resume of David the Shepherd boy when he was being recommended to King Saul. They are attributes worth emulating in our Christian Journey today. I call them the attributes of Champions. David was surely a champion in his generation. As a teenager at only seventeen (17) years, he became a national hero by killing Goliath, the dreaded giant and warrior of Israel’s chief enemy of the time, the Philistines. Not only that, it is also on record that David never saw any form of defeat/failure all his life. He was the greatest king that Israel ever knew, and thousands of years after his demise, his star is still celebrated in Israel today. Thus, it is important to study about the things that made this outstanding champion in scripture. Five (5) unique accolades were used to describe this champion to the king:

1Samuel 16:18

Then answered one of the servants, and said, Behold, I have seen a son of Jesse the Bethlehemite, that is cunning in playing, and a mighty valiant man, and a man of war, and prudent in matters, and a comely person, and the LORD is with him

#1. Cunning or Skillful in Playing (the Harp)

You may be highly spiritual as a Christian/believer, but you need skill to make it to the top. You must develop skillfulness in something. You must have a special skill that can be advertised as did the shepherd boy David.

While it is true that bible says favour is not to men of skill (meaning it is not the principal determinant of favour), yet it was David’s skillfulness in playing the harp that featured as a foremost factor in securing a place for him in the palace. His skillfulness in playing the harp was the first thing mentioned on his CV, not his godliness. Usually, an employer is not looking for a prayer worrier or just someone that fears God. He’s first of all looking for someone who possess the competence needed to get the job done. If that criteria is met, then other attributes such as God fearing, etc are considered. Bible says:

A man’s gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men - Proverbs 18:16.

The gift in this context does not only refer to one’s natural endowment but also cultivated skills that have become an endowment. For instance, no one is born with a gift of knowing how to play a musical instrument. It is a skill that is cultivated by learning, then as the individual develops expertise in this skill, it then becomes part of their endowment. So I believe David took time to learn to play the harp until it become a gift. Then others began to take notice of his talent and began to advertise for him. Thus, his cultivated gift/talent began to open doors for him to places far beyond his wildest imagination.

Well over a decade go, I was privileged of God to be appointed to a highly sensitive role in a prestigious international christian organization as the new Regional Secretary for West Africa. As I reflect on my journey to this former role, I assert that while the favour of God was certainly the door opener, my skillfulness in writing and experience in administrative work and IT,  also played a fundamental role in securing that opportunity.

What’s the import of this lesson? If you have a natural gift/endowment, go ahead and sharpen it until you develop skillfulness in using it. On the other hand, if you cannot point to any natural gift/endowment in your life, then cultivate one by learning a relevant skill, and that will enhance your portfolio for accessing the palace. Here is how scripture summarized David’s 40-year reign in Israel:

Psalm 78:70-72

[70]  He chose David also his servant, and took him from the sheepfolds:

[71]  From following the ewes great with young he brought him to feed Jacob his people, and Israel his inheritance.

[72]  So he fed them according to the integrity of his heart; and guided them by the skilfulness of his hands.

So we realize that skillfulness or skill remained an integral factor of David’s kingship of 40-years. Like David, you will ascend your throne and dine with kings in Jesus name.

#2. A Mighty Valiant Man and A Man of War (A fighting spirit)

To secure your place in destiny you need to be a mighty man/woman of war. In other words, you must possess a fighting spirit. Bible says concerning our adventure in this world that we wrestle:

 Ephesians 6:12-13

(12)  For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

(13)  Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

We’re engaged in a daily contest against wicked forces. So there’s no place for the chickenhearted. My spiritual father and mentor in the school of faith, Bishop David Oyedepo once said: “you need a lion heart to have your lion share”. And bible says:

A lion which is strongest among beasts, and turneth not away for any; - Proverbs 30:30

The lion who is king of the jungle does not run from any adversary. It’ll challenge anyone no matter their strength. And that’s who you are in redemption. We belong to the tribe of  lions. Jesus is known as the lion of the tribe of Judah (see Revelations 5:5). So never turn your back on enemies. Face them to phase them out. Life does not give us what we deserve. It gives us what we fight for. So we must posses this fighting spirit like David. In Psalm 18:34  David Said:

He teacheth my hands to war, so that a bow of steel is broken by mine arms.

Years ago while on a pastoral mission with my family, on a certain day, my wife called from home that she could not walk. She could not lift up herself from the sofa that she sat on. It was like a spirit of paralysis had overshadowed her. In spiritual anger, I blasted on the phone: “Satan loose her and let her go” and I went on with my business. Good-news is the devil heard the blasting and fled, because as I got back home in the evening, my wife was already up and about on her two feet. Glory to God! Without this fighting spirit, my darling wife would’ve been a cripple long ago.

Under the influence of this same fighting spirit, I wrote in my journal recently, “when all my enemies are long gone, I will still be here”. You see, you and I need this kind of boldness of heart to survive in a wicked world. May God teach your hands to war from today in Jesus name.

#3. Prudent In Matters

The third attribute mentioned about David to the king was that he was prudent in matters. Among the meanings assigned to the word prudent in the dictionary are: discreet, wise, careful and responsible. So David was a young man that was discreet, wise, and careful in handling matters and he did so in a responsible manner. We can use one word to replace all that which is Wisdom. So David was a man of wisdom. One of his servants once remarked about him:

… and my lord is wise, according to the wisdom of an angel of God, to know all things that are in the earth. 2Samuel 14:20

Good news is that there is a king sitting inside every child of God. According to scripture our redemption in Christ has made us kings to reign on the earth (See Revelation 5:9-10). But unfortunately, until we cultivate wisdom, that king will never rise to sit on the throne. This is because kings reign by wisdom. Lets read it in Proverbs 8:12 & 15.

(12)  I wisdom dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge of witty inventions.

(15)  By me kings reign, and princes decree justice.

By wisdom king’s reign. So to lack wisdom is to miss your throne. There’s a throne waiting for every child of God in this life (thrones are waiting in every field of human endeavor), but it is by wisdom that we access our thrones. This is why bible says, “Wisdom is the principal thing therefore get wisdom, and in all thy getting, get understanding” (Proverbs 4:7).

When David got to the palace, bible says he behaved himself very wisely (see 1Samuel 18:12-15). The result was that he did not lose his place (he maintained his position), and from being a servant in the palace, he moved on to become the king.

The wisdom of God is our guaranteed access to the throne; not only that, it keeps the throne. So let’s go for it. But how do we get it? One may ask. Three ways we can access God’s wisdom are as follows:

  • Seek for it in prayer (see James 1:5)
  • Through Word Study (see 2Timothy 3:15). God’s Word or bible is God’s wisdom in print.
  • By associating with the wise--through physical association where possible but also through their books and other learning materials such as audio and video teachings (see Proverbs 13:20)

#4. A Comely Person

The fourth (4th) attribute that featured in the recommendation that was given about David to King Saul was that he was a comely person. Now let us examine that shortly.

The word comely as used in King James bible means good looking or attractive.

While David was naturally good looking, I do not believe there is any ugly person in this world, because bible says we are all “fearfully and wonderfully made” by God (see Psalm 139:14). When the favour factor is at work, good looks don’t really matter as the favour of God makes one look good in the eyes of others. But one dictionary meaning of the word comely is decent. So it implies that no matter our natural looks, we must cultivate the appearance of decency. A person can be naturally good looking but lack decency and that can become a factor of disfavour when destiny is being decided.

For instance, Joseph of the bible was a man of unusual favour. Prior to his appearance before the king, bible testified that he was a man well-favoured by God and man (see Genesis 39:6,20-22). yet when he was called from the prison to appear before Pharaoh in the palace, bible says he shaved himself and changed his clothes (see Genesis 41:14). In other-words, he put on decency like a garment. He wore a decent appearance. He eliminated everything that will make him look indecent. No wonder he gained instant acceptance with the king.

So is it possible that some very skilled and probably highly spiritual people may have missed some great opportunities in life simply for lack of decency in appearance? I think it is. If this factor was not important, it would not have featured on the recommendation presented to the King about David the shepherd boy.

#5. The Lord is with Him (Divine Companionship)

Of all the attributes mentioned about David, this is the most important. Bible says in Proverbs 21:31:

The horse is prepared against the day of battle: but safety is of the LORD.

In other words, no matter how skillful, no matter how valiant in battle, no matter how wise and decent one may be, the most crucial factor that puts a finality on the decision is one’s proximity to God. When God is on your side, everything must work in your favour. Apostle Paul Said:

What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? - Romans 8:31

I can testify with all sense of humility that this is my greatest trade secrets in life. Years ago, in one of my previous administrative roles, a renown Man of God in the same ministry where I was serving came to my office one day and said to me “anytime I come to your office, I feel God”. What an unusual privilege. To have God with you is the greatest privilege of life. Till date, that has remained my competitive advantage in the race of life. To enjoy God’s ever abiding-presence and companionship is our guarantee for sweat-less triumph in life. When you’re clothed with God’s presence, you’re clothed in favour which secures strange open doors. Only the doors that can be shut on God will be shut against you (see Psalm 24:7-9). The greatest obstacles bow at His presence so nothing can stand against you (see Isaiah 64:1 & Psalm 144:1-7). In other words, you enjoy unstoppable progress in life when God is by your side.

But how do we secure God’s companionship in the journey of life? The answer is simple: when we seek to please Him always in all that we do. Jesus said:

He that sent me is with me: The Father hath not left me alone, for I do always those things that please Him - John 8:29

Doing always the things that please God secures and maintains his ever-abiding presence/companionship with us.

So the question is what are the things that please God? Let us name a few:

*A Lifestyle of Thanksgiving and Praise pleases God

The Psalmist said:

I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify him with thanksgiving.

This also shall please the LORD better than an ox or bullock that hath horns and hoofs. - Psalm 69:30-31

*Walking in the fear of God pleases God

God was boasting about His servant Job in the book of Job chapter one (1) verse eight (8):

And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil?

In essence, God was openly pleased with this man called Job. And the reason given was that he feared God and hated evil!

*Obeying God pleases God

This is how Abraham for instance, won the heart of God. By his addiction to obedience to God (see Genesis 12:1-4, Genesis 17:1/2-3/7/10-13/23-27, Genesis 22:15-18). So God called him friend (see Isaiah 41:8). That is, God became his companion in the journey of life.

*Giving (and that cheerfully) pleases God

“...for God loveth a cheerful giver” - 2Corinthians 9:7

This includes giving to advance the gospel and God’s kingdom agenda on the earth (Haggai 1:3-8), giving to the servants of God (Galatians 6:6, Romans 15:27, 1 Corinthians 9:11), and giving to the needy (Proverbs 28:27, Proverbs 19:17) among other forms of giving.

For instance, David whom God refereed to as a man after His heart, was a great, liberal giver. He gave a fortune towards God’s house (1 Chronicles 29:1-5). Even prior to his enthronement as king, He had six hundred (600) men living under his care (1 Samuel 25:13); and that number did not take into account the wives and children of these men (in those days women and children were not numbered). So in essence, David had well over 600 mouths in his household that fed daily from his table.

I believe the five core attributes of David that we have related here, will make anyone emerge a champion in life.

Now, permit me to prophesy into your life. A time is coming very shortly that great and honorable men and women from far and near will look for you as they looked for David. They will inconvenience themselves just to meet with you in Jesus name. Shout a loud amen if you believe it!

Meanwhile, if you do not have a relationship with God through Jesus Christ, I invite you to do so now. Accepting Jesus as lord and saviour is fundamental key to enjoying God’s companionship. Jesus said:

Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me - Revelation 3:20

So will you open the door of your heart for Jesus and allow God to come into your life. If you will, please say this simple prayer:

I believe that Jesus is the Son of God and He shed His precious blood for my sins. Today, I confess Him as Lord and Saviour.  Thank you Lord Jesus for saving me!

Amen.

Congratulations! if you said that prayer. The Word of God says you are now a new creature and old things are passed away. All things are become new (2 Corinthians 5:17). In other-words, God will never call your past life (sins/faults) to remembrance. They are totally forgiven and forgotten. Check this:

I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins. (Isaiah 43:25)

For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more (Hebrews 8:12)

What Kind of Battles Are You Fighting?

Life is full of battles. One of my mentors said “there are no battle-free zones in this world”. But I say to you to choose your battles carefully. Some battles are mere distractions to derail you from your path of destiny.

For instance, David the bible hero, on his way to challenging Goliath (that dreaded giant of the Philistine army), was confronted by his own brother who spat some bitter words at him. But David chose to not pay much attention to the onslaught of his brother. He knew this was not the real battle--it was a battle without a prize. When he went past his brother, he asked the other soldiers, what will be done for the man that will kill the giant? (see 1st Samuel 17:19-31) As we can see, David chose his battles carefully, and this battle of interest had a heavy prize attached for the winner. The prize was the king’s daughter as bride (which also meant access to the king’s treasury and authority). David was a wise young man. He was interested in battles that was worth his energy/sweat; battles that had a great prize to win. Not only that, he was interested in battles that were connected to his destiny. Because, prior to this time, he had already been secretly anointed the next king of Israel by the prophet Samuel. So the encounter with Goliath was a battle that was going to decide his destiny, and it did.

The women sang David’s praise, literally hailing him as the new king of Israel after he brought down the head of Goliath. And this is while King Saul was still on the throne (see 1st Samuel 17:50-51 & 1st Samuel 18:7-8). Thus, David seized the moment to enforce his prophetic destiny as he engaged in the right battle.

Therefore, let us learn from this biblical account as we go along in the journey of life to know which battles to face headlong and which ones to simply avoid. For instance, responding to an insult, responding to your critics, winning an argument with your spouse or  keeping malice at home or at the workplace, are all battles that do not decide your destiny, so they do not deserve your attention. They are battles that have no prizes to win at the end. At best, they leave you worse off than before. For instance, after winning that argument with your spouse, you end up with a tensed up relationship. After giving that co-worker the piece of your mind, you end up with a bad reputation at the work place. After answering your critics, it does not change them anyway. These battles represent distractions to take you off God’s course/plan for your life.

So, like David, be wise! Save your energy for the big battles: the destiny battles. Thus, the question remains: “What kind of battles are you fighting?”

Meanwhile, if you do not have a relationship with God through Jesus Christ, I invite you to do so now. An active relationship with Jesus will enable you have the needed wisdom to navigate safely in a battle-filled world and win your destiny battles cheaply. Bible says:

…Christ the power of God and the Wisdom of God (1 Corinthians 1:24)

So Jesus is our access to God’s Wisdom. Therefore, If you want Jesus in your life, Please say this simple prayer:

I believe that Jesus is the Son of God and He shed His precious blood for my sins. Today, I confess Him as Lord and Saviour.  Thank you Lord Jesus for saving me. Amen!

Congratulations! if you said that prayer. The Word of God says you are now a new creature and old things are passed away. All things are become new (2 Corinthians 5:17). In other-words, God will never call your past life (sins/faults) to remembrance. They are totally forgiven and forgotten. Check this:

For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more (Hebrews 8:12)

Our Greatest Asset In Life

 Exodus 33:14-15

(14)  And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest.

(15)  And he said unto him, If thy presence go not with me, carry us not up hence.

Divine presence is our greatest asset in the journey of life. In our text, Moses was literally saying to God, I cannot do without you Lord. I need your presence more than anything else.

Bible says,

And THE LORD WAS WITH JOSEPH, and he was a prosperous man…

And his master saw that the LORD was with him, and that the LORD made all that he did to prosper in his hand - Genesis 39:2-3

When God is with you, He will cause everything you do to prosper.  Joseph prospered because God was with him. He succeeded in his endeavors because God was with Him. Everything positive that happened in his life was because of one thing: God was with him. So God with you is your greatest asset in life.

But Why? Because:

  • When God goes with you, everything must go well for you.
  • When God goes with you, doors must open for you.  Scripture says:

Lift up your heads Oh Ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in - Psalm 24:7

In other words, when God (who is the King of glory) is coming/going with you, every gate must lift up their heads for you (they must fling open of their own accord).

  • When God goes with you, you’re dangerously defended.

For …if God be for us [or be with us], who can be against us? (Romans 8:31, paraphrased)

  • When you have God, you have gold (wealth). For God said,

“The silver is mine, and the gold is mine. saith the LORD of hosts.” - Haggai 2:8

When you have God, you have access to all things that this world can offer. In Psalm 24:1, it says:  The earth is the LORD'S, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.

This means you can never be stranded in life with God by your-side. God with you is worth much more than anything in this world. Because God can give you everything you need and much more.

So if God’s presence offers so much, how do I get it? Just one key will do.  It is joyfulness. Psalm 16:11 says:

…in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand are pleasures for evermore.

In other words, God’s presence is where there is fullness of joy. Fullness of joy is fullness of His presence. So Joyfulness is God-fullness.  You can’t be truly joyful and lack His presence. Because joy is God’s natural habitat (see Psalm 22:3). And joyfulness is evidenced in our “praisefulness”. Praise is a natural consequence of joy. And praise moves God always (Exodus 15:11). So do well to always maintain an atmosphere of joy and rejoicing around you and you will never lack God’s ever-abiding presence. Desire from this day, to seek His ever abiding presence in all that you do and everywhere you go. You will be glad you did.

Meanwhile, our access to God begins with a relationship with Jesus Christ, the son of God. Jesus said:

I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me (John 14:6)

So Jesus is the only way to God the Father.

Check this:

I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins. (Isaiah 43:25)

For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more (Hebrews 8:12)

KNOWING GOD

Exodus 33:13

Now therefore, I pray thee, if I have found grace in thy sight, shew me now thy way, that I may know thee, that I may find grace in thy sight:

Knowing God should be our greatest and ultimate quest in life.  Not having the things or blessings of God or seeking the miracles of God. After all the outstanding miracles that Moses had seen God do (Deuteronomy 4:10-12/Exodus 10:2) , the panting of his heart was “…that I may know thee…”.

This is the secret of the great. They are men and women that have an insatiable hunger for God. They cannot have enough of God. They are not just satisfied with the miracles or testimonies that God gives them; they want to know His person. They want want a deeper experience with God. For when we know Him, every other thing falls into place.

This was the heart cry of Apostle Paul, the great sage of the new testament. “That I may know him”, said Paul “and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings” (Philippians 3:10). Paul was indeed a living wonder.  He did not just experience miracles regularly, he was a practical miracle (a man that defied death many times, see Acts 20:9-10/2Corinthians 11:23&25/Phillipians 1:22-25). Yet His deepest heart desire was “…that I may know Him..”. What else about Christ and God was there to know after all that Paul knew. Remember he was a man of abundance of revelation (2Corinthians 12:7). No! he was not satisfied. He wanted more because he knew there was more.  For His ways are past finding out (Romans 11:33).

Of a truth, as a preacher and one that has seen God do strange miracles, my greatest moments of joy and satisfaction is not when I see a miracle but when I am learning at the Master’s feet. My greatest moments of joy is when I am having my personal time with God in His word. The joy I experience at this time is beyond what words can describe. Knowing God is the secret of making lasting impact in life.

David, a man that made unusual impact on his generation, said  in Psalm 119:97-100:

(97)  O how love I thy law! it is my meditation all the day.

(98)  Thou through thy commandments hast made me wiser than mine enemies: for they are ever with me.

(99)  I have more understanding than all my teachers: for thy testimonies are my meditation.

(100)  I understand more than the ancients, because I keep thy precepts

Thousands of years after his demise, David’s star is still celebrated by the Jews today. That is trans-generational impact. And it was deeply rooted in his acquaintance with God.

Knowing God involves knowing His ways.  Bible says God made His ways known unto Moses and His acts unto the children of Israel (Psalm 103:7). So while the children of Israel only saw the acts of God, Moses had an understanding of the ways of God so he was in command of the acts or miracles.

Therefore, I say to you friend, seek to know God through his Word on a daily basis, and every other thing will take care of itself. Blessings, miracles, signs and wonders are all a natural consequence of knowing God.  Therefore, don’t just seek for blessings; seek to know the ‘Blessor’. Don’t just seek for healing, seek to know the Healer. Don’t just seek miracles, seek to know the miracle-worker and you will have all these things in abundance.

However,  knowing God begins with a relationship with Jesus Christ, the son of God. Jesus said:

I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me (John 14:6)

So Jesus is the only way to God the Father. Therefore, If you want Jesus in your life, Please say this simple prayer:

I believe that Jesus is the Son of God and He shed His precious blood for my sins. Today, I confess Him as Lord and Saviour.  Thank you Lord Jesus for saving me! Amen.

I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins. (Isaiah 43:25)

For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more (Hebrews 8:12)

YOU SHALL LIVE AND NOT DIE

Psalm 119:48-50

(48)  My hands also will I lift up unto thy commandments, which I have loved; and I will meditate in thy statutes.

(49) Remember the word unto thy servant, upon which thou hast caused me to hope.

(50)  This is my comfort in my affliction: for thy word hath quickened me.

There’s quickening power in the Word of God. God’s word can revive anything that is already dead or is dying.

John 6:63:

it is the spirit that quickeneth. The flesh profiteth nothing. The Words I speak to you, they are spirit and they are life.

The Word of God is a quickening spirit. That’s why no one that feeds on the Word regularly can die cheap. Anytime you’re in touch with the Word, you’re in touch with Life. You’re in touch with quickening/life-giving spirit so death must give way.

My father in the school of Faith, Bishop David Oyedepo, said he was ministering the word one time and there was a brother in that service who was at the final stage of HIV, where his very skin had turned green like fungus (meaning he was near his grave).  But as the Word was administered, the decaying body of this brother vibrated as  life began to surge into it.  Long and short of the story was that HIV checked out of his system. About six (6) years later, my father met this former HIV aids patient in Duala, Camaroon, still hale and hearty (fully transformed), and now a minister of the gospel. Halelluyah! God’s Word will quicken/revive whatever is dead or dying.

I recall the unusual testimony of Dodie Osteen, Joel Osteen’s mother who in 1981 was diagnosed of metastatic liver cancer and given only a few weeks to live. Yet she decided to look to the Word for solution. Solution truly came as God’s word never fails. She located several scriptures that invalidated the medical diagnosis. Good-news is, forty-three (43) years after, she’s still very much alive and well,  inspiring many others around the world with her miraculous healing testimony. Remember what the Psalmist said in our main text:

This is my comfort in my affliction: for thy word hath quickened me - Psalm 119:50

May God’s word quicken you today.  No matter what may be dead or dying in your life, God’s Word quickens it back to life in the name of Jesus.  In case you’re experiencing a challenging health, I decree a quickening (a revitalization) of your mortal body now in the name of Jesus.

Finally, as we conclude, my recommendation to you is in line with God’s Words in Proverbs 4:20-22.  It says:

(20)  My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.

(21)  Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.

(22)  For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.

God’s word is life and health to all your flesh.  So the admonition is to pay close attention to it continually. Keep hearing the Word daily and keep your eyed fixed on it.  For it is the secret of the preservation of our lives.

Meanwhile, if you do not have Jesus in your life, the word of God (bible) will not make proper sens to you. You need a relationship with the Living Word (Jesus) before you can understand the written Word. Therefore, If you desire to have a relationship with Jesus, Please say this simple prayer and mean it from your heart:

I believe that Jesus is the Son of God and He shed His precious blood for my sins. Today, I confess Him as Lord and Saviour.  Thank you Lord Jesus for saving me!

Amen.

Congratulations! if you said that prayer. The Word of God says you are now a new creature and old things are passed away. All things are become new (2 Corinthians 5:17). THE POTTER AND THE CLAY

 Jeremaiah 18:1-6

(1)  The word which came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying,

(2)  Arise, and go down to the potter's house, and there I will cause thee to hear my words.

(3)  Then I went down to the potter's house, and, behold, he wrought a work on the wheels.

(4)  And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it.

(5)  Then the word of the LORD came to me, saying,

(6)  O house of Israel, cannot I do with you as this potter? saith the LORD. Behold, as the clay is in the potter's hand, so are ye in mine hand, O house of Israel.

God is the potter. We are the clay. Our lives and destinies are being molded. If the initial design/plan has failed, He is able to remold us into another vessel (shape/form) according to His desire. So ours as the clay is a life of total abandonment in the hands of the potter. God is not done with us yet. So let’s leave it to him and watch what He does with our lives.  Remember He’s a master craftsman and architect (Proverbs 3:19-20/Jeremiah 10:12); when he’s finished with His work, all eyes will behold the glory of our lives, a showpiece in His showroom of life.

As we conclude, let us know that we become the clay in the hands of God the potter only by accepting Jesus His Son as our saviour and Lord. If you want Jesus in your life, Please say this simple prayer and mean it from your heart:

I believe that Jesus is the Son of God and He shed His precious blood for my sins. Today, I confess Him as Lord and Saviour.  Thank you Lord Jesus for saving me!

Amen.

GOD’S GLORY WILL CLEAN YOU UP

 Exodus 29:43

And there I will meet with the children of Israel, and the tabernacle shall be sanctified by my glory.

God’s glory refers to his manifest abiding presence and power. It is the tangible, ‘feelable’ presence of God.

God’s glory often referred to as the glory cloud is as depicted in the following text

1Kings 8:10 -11

[10] And it came to pass, when the priests were come out of the holy place, that the CLOUD filled the house of the LORD,

[11]  So that the priests could not stand to minister because of the CLOUD: for the GLORY of the LORD had filled the house of the LORD.

As we saw earlier in the opening text, the glory of God (the tangible manifestation of His presence and power) brings about a sanctification/cleansing of His tabernacle.

In the old covenant God manifested Himself in a physical tabernacle or temple.  Under the new covenant however, God does not abide in a physical temple but in the spiritual temples of our heart or spirit housed in the physical body. Let us validate by looking at a few scriptures:

Act 7:48: Howbeit the most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands; as saith the prophet,

Act 17:24:  God...dwelleth not in temples made with hands;

1Corinthians 3:16:  Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

2Corinthians 6:16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

1Corinthians 6:19-20:

(19) What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

(20) For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

As we can see clearly, God abides today in the tabernacle of our spirits and physical bodies. His glory in our lives brings about a cleansing of our spirit, soul and body. So do we desire to live the sanctified life? Do we desire to live above sin and reproach? Then we must allow ourselves to be submerged/immersed in God’s presence time and again.  His manifest presence or glory in our lives establishes an automatic cleansing of His tabernacle, thereby making us pure and holy.

The question therefore is, how do we experience/encounter God’s glory? How do we Encounter His manifest presence and power? The answer is as follows:

#1. In Praise & Worship

Most often than not, God manifests Himself in praise and worship.

2Chronicles 5:13-14

(13)  It came even to pass, as the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the LORD; and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of musick, and praised the LORD, saying, For he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever: that then the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of the LORD;

(14)  So that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory of the LORD had filled the house of God.

Praise and worship is God’s natural habitat. God’s glory descends and fills His house when we praise Him. In Psalm 22:3 it says:

But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.

So when we are accustomed to praising and worshiping God, then we make our physical lives/bodies His dwelling place. Praise and worship flowing out of our spirits invites God’s manifest presence/glory into our lives. And when He comes into His temple/tabernacle, He’ll sweep it clean. Just the same way when Jesus entered the physical temple of the Jews in Jerusalem, He drove out everyone buying and selling in the temple (that is everything that defiled the temple). He literally swept the temple clean from all that defiled (see Mark 11:15). It is the same with our spiritual temples; the temple of our spirits and bodies. When the glory of God descends into our lives, we are swept clean from all that defiles. The glory of God sanctifies His tabernacle--the tabernacle of our spirit, soul and body--making us living spectacles of His greatness.

Meanwhile, accepting Jesus the Son of God as your  saviour and lord is the starting point. If you’re set for that, Please say the following prayer and mean it from your heart:

I believe that Jesus is the Son of God who came to die for my sins and I confess Him as Lord and Saviour.  Thank you Lord for saving me.

For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more (Hebrews 8:12 )

ABLAZE FOR GOD

Exodus 29:36-37

(36)  And thou shalt offer every day a bullock for a sin offering for atonement: and thou shalt cleanse the altar, when thou hast made an atonement for it, and thou shalt anoint it, to sanctify it.

(37)  Seven days thou shalt make an atonement for the altar, and sanctify it; and it shall be an altar most holy: whatsoever toucheth the altar shall be holy.

This scripture has a two dimensional message. First, God expects all His servants who are specially called to the priestly office or pulpit ministry,  to live a life of holiness and purity for the sanctity of the altar.

Secondly, every believer should recognize that the altar is a meeting place between man and God.  It is a place of sacrifice, a place where we offer service and worship unto God. Under the old covenant, it was a physical altar; under the new covenant, it is the altar of our hearts.  From our hearts, we worship and serve the Lord; and as God required of the old testament/old covenant priest, He requires of the new testament/new covenant priest to sanctify the altar--that is rid it of all impurities so that our service and worship can be acceptable.

Remember every believer is redeemed a king and a priest (See Revelations 5:9-10). So, we’re the priests that God is referring to and giving the instructions to carryout in our opening scripture, concerning sanctifying and cleansing of the altar (you may read the entire chapter of Exodus 29 for more clarity). Likewise, in Romans 12:1, we’re admonished to present our bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable unto God so as to make our service to Him a reasonable one (paraphrasing). In other-words, we must sanctify the altar of our hearts (cleanse it from all impurities such as bitterness, unforgiveness/malice, hypocrisy, covetousness, lust/immorality among others) so that our living sacrifice of worship and service to God may be acceptable.

But How do we do that? How do we sanctify the altar of our hearts?  Let us briefly examine two vital keys.

First, is by taking a daily shower in the word of God. It says in Ephesians 5:26, “that he might sanctify and clease it with the washing of water by the Word of God”.

Just as taking one’s bath daily, ensures a clean body, going for a daily spiritual bath in the word ensures a clean spirit and soul.  Jesus once said to His disciples,

“...Ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you” - John 15:3

Also in Hebrews 10:22, it says,

“Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water”

God’s word is the purest water for the cleansing of our hearts/spirits (conscience), soul, and bodies.

The second key is Prayer

To escape the defilement of sin, Jesus gave this recommendation. He said:

Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation…” - Matthew 26:41

Also in 1st Timothy 4:5, it says:

“For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer”

So besides the Word, sanctification of our lives can also be achieved through prayer. When the altar of our heart is set ablaze with the word and prayer, evil beasts or forces that bring impurities into our lives stay clear (stay off). In the wild, when fire is burning somewhere (the temperature is too hot), no wild animal goes near. It is the same in the spiritual realm. A believer whose spiritual life is ablaze with the word and prayer will purge/burn off the defiling forces of sin.

In scripture, both God’s Word and prayer are sources  of spiritual fire. In Jeremiah 23:29, it says: “Is not my word like as a fire?…

Also, in 2nd Chronicles 7:1, the following is recorded:

“Now when Solomon had made an end of praying, the fire came down from heaven, and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices and the glory of the Lord filled the house”

So, God’s Word and prayer are two potent sources of spiritual fire that ignites the altar of our hearts and consumes whatever makes us unworthy before the Lord.

Therefore, maintaining a daily devotion in the word and prayer is fundamental to the cleansing of the altar of our hearts thereby making our worship and services as priests holy and acceptable to God.  Now is  your turn to be ablaze 🔥 for God!

Meanwhile, accepting Jesus the Son of God as your  personal saviour and Lord is the starting point. If you’re set for that, Please say the following prayer and mean it from your heart:

I believe that Jesus is the Son of God who came to die for my sins and I confess Him as Lord and Saviour.  Thank you Lord for saving me.

For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more (Hebrews 8:12 )

The Joseph Order of Wisdom for Economic Transformation

What is it? Set aside minimum a fifth part (that is, twenty percent) of your income every month for savings/investment.  Do that consistently for seven (7) years unbroken and see what happens to your financial life/fortunes. You can begin to make withdrawals after seven years (I.e. in the 8th year). And continue the cycle (See the entire chapter of Genesis 41 for full details). However, let us read portions of it here.

Genesis 41:34-37 & 53-57

(34)  Let Pharaoh do this, and let him appoint officers over the land, and take up THE FIFTH PART of the land of Egypt in the seven plenteous years.

(35)  And let them gather all the food of those good years that come, and lay up corn under the hand of Pharaoh, and let them keep food in the cities.

(36)  And that food shall be for store to the land against the seven years of famine, which shall be in the land of Egypt; that the land perish not through the famine.

(37)  And the thing was good in the eyes of Pharaoh, and in the eyes of all his servants.

(53)  And the seven years of plenteousness, that was in the land of Egypt, were ended.

(54)  And the seven years of dearth began to come, according as Joseph had said: and the dearth was in all lands; but in all the land of Egypt there was bread.

(55)  And when all the land of Egypt was famished, the people cried to Pharaoh for bread: and Pharaoh said unto all the Egyptians, Go unto Joseph; what he saith to you, do.

(56)  And the famine was over all the face of the earth: And Joseph opened all the storehouses, and sold unto the Egyptians; and the famine waxed sore in the land of Egypt.

(57)  And all countries came into Egypt to Joseph for to buy corn; because that the famine was so sore in all lands.

In Ecclesiastes 1:9, the word of God says,

The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun

So, there is nothing new under the sun.  It means what has happened before is what will happen again.  The scripture cannot be broken (John 10:35B). This means that seasons of scarcity will always follow seasons of abundance; all through history, it has been proved to be true. Various world economies have seen seasons of economic depression following a season of economic boom.  That affirms scriptural prophesy. What has been before is what shall be.

A great man of God said, and I paraphrase: no one can pray away a prophetic agenda; one can only seek an exemption. So we cannot wish away or pray away seasons of economic depression. No government or political party has the solution either. We can only seek an exemption from the effects or horrors of the economic dearths that will come. So we have a scripturally tested and tried solution that was used in bible days in ancient Egypt which transformed that nation (Egypt) into a world economic super-power during a season of an extreme global economic crisis/depression. It’s a divinely inspired solution or exemption strategy that was proffered by the bible icon and hero called Joseph. So I call it the Joseph Order of Wisdom or Paradigm for economic transformation. In essence it says if you can set aside at least a fifth part (that is 20 percent) of all your income/earnings monthly for savings/investment and you do so consistently for seven (7) years unbroken, you will experience an economic boom in the years that will follow, even if others may be going through a depression or experiencing scarcity/drought. That’s what happened to the nation of Egypt when they took Joseph’s advice. Bible says:

“...All countries came into Egypt to Joseph…to buy corn because that the famine was sore in all Lands” - Genesis 41:57

It was a season of global economic drought, but one nation was exempted because they embraced biblical wisdom from a foreigner (for a full account/detail, read the entire chapter of Genesis 41).

Meanwhile, the above biblical principle presupposes that one is also adhering to other biblical principles or laws governing finance such as paying the tithe to God, which is ten percent (10%) of one’s income, giving offerings to advance God’s kingdom and helping the needy (see Leviticus 27:30, Malachi 3:8-12, Luke 6:38, Proverbs 28:27 and Psalm 41:1-3). These are spiritual investments which will invariably secure unquestionable rewards as well as protect/preserve the natural investments being made by the believer such as the one discussed in this short teaching.

As we conclude, we must understand that we cannot follow God’s principles in isolation, without having an active relationship with Him. It is having a relationship with God that makes the principles to produce tangible results in our lives. And that relationship is established  by accepting Jesus the Son of God as your  saviour and lord. If you’re set for that, Please say the following prayer and mean it from your heart:

I believe that Jesus is the Son of God who came to die for my sins and I confess Him as Lord and Saviour.  Thank you Lord for saving me.

For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more (Hebrews 8:12 )

RULING YOUR WORLD

 Revelation 5:9-10

(9) And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the.  seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast.  redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and    nation;

(10)  And hast made us unto our God KINGS and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.

If you’re a child of God (a believer), recognize that you are redeemed a king and a priest to reign on the earth. As a priest, you have access to God, and as a king, you have authority on the earth. That means the entire earth is your kingdom (your domain of operation). You have dominion in the earth. And by God’s design you reign/rule with your mouth. Kings rule by making decrees.

Job 22:28

Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.

The decrees of a king are not vain words.  They are backed with power. Ecclesiastes 8:4 says:

Where the word of a king is, there is power: and who may say unto him, What doest thou?

A king’s authority cannot be challenged within his kingdom or domain of operation when he has passed a decree. “…who may say unto him, what doest thou?”

In other-words, there’s enough power backup to enforce the decree such that it cannot be contested. So as a king, you cannot rule with your mouth closed. Until you open your mouth, your authority will be challenged.

Also remember we were created in the image and likeness of God (Genesis 1:26-27), so we’re designed to operate just like Him. And bible says God (who is the King of Kings) rules by His power forever (see Psalm 66:7). He does so by issuing decrees/commands. Psalm 148:5 says:

“Let them praise the name of the LORD: for HE COMMANDED, and they were created.”

God rules the universe by the decrees/commands of His mouth. That’s the same way you are ordained as a child of God, a king in the earth, to rule your world. Bible says:

For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned. - Matthew 12:37

In other-words, your authority as a king is in your mouth. Whether you dominate and rule or you’re dominated by elemental forces of this world is according to the words of your mouth. Whether you live blessed or you live condemned/cursed is by the Words of your mouth. Whether you live in health or you live in sickness and afflictions is according to the words of your mouth. Whether you experience captivity or liberty is by the words of your mouth. Or whether you rule and reign as a king in your kingdom or you live in servitude like a peasant or slave is according to the words of your mouth.  You decide, by the words of your mouth, what happens to you.

God has given you dominion over the earth and it is up to you to manifest that dominion by the words of your mouth.  So go ahead, open your mouth and determine the events of your life.  It’s time to rule your world.

Meanwhile, God must become your heavenly father before you can have a right to the authority we have just talked about. And that is by accepting Jesus the Son of God as your  saviour and lord. If you’re set for that, Please say the following prayer and mean it from your heart:

I believe that Jesus is the Son of God who came to die for my sins and I confess Him as Lord and Saviour.  Thank you Lord for saving me.

Amen.

Congratulations! if you said that prayer. The Word of God says you are now a new creature and old things are passed away. All things are become new (2 Corinthians 5:17). Activating The Thousandfold Blessing!

 Deuteronomy 1:11

(The LORD God of your fathers make you a thousand times so many more as ye are, and bless you, as he hath promised you!)

This is the thousandfold blessing. God is able to make you a thousand times so much more in blessing.

let us uncover a divine principle in the bible as we proceed: every material miracle requires a material seed.

Back in the old, we find this unique story which event occurred in the days of Elisha the prophet.  A man of God had died and left behind a widowed wife and two sons with some debts unpaid.  So, the creditors came to redeem the two sons of this man of God whom he had used for collateral. In view of this, the widowed wife cried to the prophet Elisha for help. In response, the prophet asked the woman a vital question which reveals the biblical principle we want to uncover. He asked “…what has thou in the house?…” (2Kings 4:2a). The widow responded “…Thine handmaid hath not any thing in the house, save a pot of oil.” (2Kings 4:2b). In summary, God used that little pot of oil to turnaround the fortunes of this widow and her household such that she had more than enough to pay off her debts and had surplus funds left to live on (See 2Kings 4:1-7 for full story).

Similarly in the new testament, when Jesus  was confronted with a challenge of feeding a multitude of people (well over five thousand), he asked for what was available. It was a meager five loaves of bread and two fishes. In the natural, that was woefully inadequate to feed over five thousand people. But what happened? When Jesus took that meager supply from the disciples and blessed it, it multiplied a thousand times. So five thousand men (beside women and children) were fed to the full and they had  twelve baskets of the divine supply remaining.

Lets see Matthew 14:15-21 for a full account of this story.

Matthew 14:15-21

(15)  And when it was evening, his disciples came to him, saying, This is a desert place, and the time is now past; send the multitude away, that they may go into the villages, and buy themselves victuals.

(16)  But Jesus said unto them, They need not depart; give ye them to eat.

(17)  And they say unto him, We have here but five loaves, and two fishes.

(18)  He said, Bring them hither to me.

(19)  And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the grass, and took the five loaves, and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, HE BLESSED, and brake, and gave the loaves to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude.

(20)  And they did all eat, and were filled: and they took up of the fragments that remained twelve baskets full.

(21)  And they that had eaten were ABOUT FIVE THOUSAND men, beside women and children.

So what activates the thousandfold blessing? It is your seed (that is what you have in your hand that seems inadequate)--it could be a material seed such as money, a gift/talent or an idea. Place that seed in the hands of God. If it is a non-material/non-financial seed (the gift/talent/endowment or idea) use it for His glory and see what he’ll do with it.  The disciples said to the Master (Jesus) in verse 17 of our scripture passage (above), “…We have but five loaves of bread, and two fishes”.  In other-words, what we have is woefully in adequate to feed this multitude. In the next verse (18), Jesus said to them, “…bring them to me…”.  In the verse that follows the Word says He blessed the fives loaves and two fishes and what happened? There was a supernatural multiplication of that seed such that 12 baskets full of blessings remained after five thousand men besides women and children were fed to the full.

Five thousand and over were fed from a little seed of five loaves and two fishes.  That is the Thousandfold blessing, and it was activated by a material seed.  When God’s blessing comes upon your seed that you release to him, you can experience an abundant harvest of the thousandfold blessing, as clearly demonstrated in the life of the disciples of Christ.

For double emphasis, God allowed this miracle to happen twice in the disciples’ walk with Jesus, so as to extinguish any idea that this happened merely by chance (the second account of this miracle is recorded in Matthew 15:32-38 and Mark 8:1-9).

When what is in your hand cannot meet the needs of the moment, turn it to a seed with a grateful heart and watch God repeat this same miracle in your own life. Bible says He is the Lord He changes not (Malachi 3:6, paraphrased). God has not changed. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever (Hebrews 13:8, paraphrased). So may you come into agreement with Him today so the thousandfold blessing can be activated in your own life too.

(The LORD God of your fathers make you a thousand times so many more as ye are, and bless you, as he hath promised you!) - Deuteronomy 1:11

Meanwhile, having a relationship with God through His Son Jesus Christ is a fundamental requirement to become a beneficiary of any of God’s blessings. If you desire to establish this relationship, then let us pray.

Please say the following prayer and mean it from your heart:

I believe that Jesus is the Son of God who came to die for my sins and I confess Him as Lord and Saviour.  Thank you Lord for saving me.

Amen.

Congratulations! if you said that prayer. The Word of God says you are now a new creature and old things are passed away. All things are become new (2 Corinthians 5:17). YOU ARE SPECIAL!!

Deuteronomy 14 : 2

For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God, and the LORD hath chosen thee to be a peculiar people unto himself, above all the nations that are upon the earth.

All of God’s Children are a peculiar people--a special treasure to God above all nations/people on the earth (see also 1st Peter 2:9/Psalm 135:4).

So see yourself as such, as a peculiar treasure in the eyes of All-mighty God. Doesn’t matter how others may see or perceive you. Doesn’t matter what they have said about you. See yourself from the perspective of the one who created you. Let God redefine who you truly are; He says, You are SPECIAL!!

Meanwhile, this is a rare privilege of God’s Children. And you become a child of God by embracing His Son Jesus Christ into your life. If you desire to become one of God’s own children today, then we can say a simple prayer:

Let's Pray:

I believe that Jesus is the Son of God who came to die for my sins and I confess Him as Lord and Saviour.  Thank you Lord for saving me.

Amen.

Congratulations! if you said that prayer. The Word of God says you are now a new creature and old things are passed away. All things are become new (2 Corinthians 5:17). You Will WIN

 Exodus 17:8 & 11

(8)  Then came Amalek, and fought with Israel in Rephidim.

(11)  And it came to pass, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed: and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed.

Under the new covenant/testament, the lifting up of holy hands is symbolic of prayer. 1st Timothy 2:8 says:

I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands…

So what’s the lesson? No matter the battle of life, as long as your hands are up in prayer, you will prevail (just like Moses and Israel in the above scripture). However, if you bring your hands down (in other-words, if you stop praying), the adversary will prevail over you.

This means prayer gives you the upper hand in any battle of life. So keep it going, never relent and never give up until you win.

Meanwhile, a fundamental requirement for answered prayer is having a relationship with God the Father through His Son Jesus Christ.  If you’re yet to have this relationship established, you can say a simple prayer to make that happen for you.

The Lifestyle of Thanksgiving

There is no bleak tomorrow for a genuine thanksgiver. This is because the thanksgiver is Living perpetually in the will of God. And as long as one is abiding in God's will, the future is covered. Abiding in God's will guarantees the security of anyone's future/destiny. It says in 1st Thessalonians 5:18 that:

"In everything give thanks for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you"

Thanksgiving is the will of God; And living in God's will is the same as pleasing Him. And once God is pleased with a person, forget about the devil. The future is nothing but glorious!

Therefore, settle it in your heart today to always maintain an attitude of gratitude no matter what the situation of life may be, and you will see God coming through for you again and again.

Meanwhile, if you have not made Jesus Lord of your life, you can do so today and begin a new relationship with God.

LIVE BLESSING CONSCIOUS

Revelation 5:9

And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;

There’s nothing that the blood of Jesus did not atone for. There’s nothing called a curse (be it generational or otherwise) that can cross the blood line (speaking of the blood of the precious lamb of God).  Bible says by His death on the cross, pouring out his blood as a libation for the liberation of humanity, Jesus “blotted out the handwriting of ordinances that were against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross” (Colosians 2:14 paraphrased).

So, everything that was against us, that was contrary to us (every ancestral covenant/curse, every diabolical machination, every inherited curse, every established injunction against us) was blotted out, taken out of the way and nailed to the cross.

Therefore, as the redeemed of the Lord (saved by grace) you’re free from all curses of life. Curses have no more legal hold on your life.  The word says, Jesus died on the cross to connect us with the blessings of Abraham (see Galatians 3:13-14).  In essence, new birth in Christ connects us with blessings, not curses. So live your life conscious of the blessing. Live blessing conscious, because what you’re conscious of is what prevails in your life. God’s word in Proverbs 23:7 says: “as he thinketh…so is he…”. If you think you’re still cursed as a child of God, then so shall it be for you.  But if you think in agreement with God’s Word that you’re blessed, then blessing is what plays out in your life.

So wake up every morning and thank God because it’s another blessed day filled with God’s goodness.  Go out, walking tall and shoulder high and expect the good news of His blessings flowing in your direction.  It’s a new day for you!

Meanwhile, a fundamental requirement to become a partaker of the blessing that Jesus shed his blood to connect us with is to accept Him as your Lord and personal saviour.

If you need Jesus in your life, please say the following prayer and mean it from your heart:

I believe that Jesus is the Son of God who came to die for my sins and I confess Him as Lord and Saviour.  Thank you Lord for saving me.

Amen.

Congratulations! if you said that prayer. The Word of God says you are now a new creature and old things are passed away. All things are become new (2 Corinthians 5:17). YOU ARE UNSTOPPABLE

 1Samuel 18:7-8 (KJV)

(7)  And the women answered one another as they played, and said, Saul hath slain his thousands, and David his ten thousands.

(8)  And Saul was very wroth, and the saying displeased him; and he said, They have ascribed unto David ten thousands, and to me they have ascribed but thousands: and what can he have more but the kingdom?

Whenever you’re being celebrated, there are those who will get jealous.  Jealousy is an affirmation that you’re lifted.  Further, there are still more who will feel insecure in your accomplishments.  Hear what King Saul Said:

[8]“...They have ascribed unto David ten thousands and to me they have ascribed but thousands: and what can he have more but the kingdom?

[9] And sou eyed David from that day forward.” (1Samuel 18:8-9)

Soul’s jealousy of David metamorphosed into insecurity, and his insecurity graduated to hatred.  The scripture said: “And soul eyed David from that day forward.” (1Samuel 18:9).

That is, he had an evil eye for David.  I decree in the name of Jesus, every evil eye that looks at you from now will go blind for your sake.

Please get this into your spirit (accept this scriptural truth):  Your rising in life will stirrup jealousy in the heart of men.  When it is not checked, it will metamorphose into insecurity.  If  the insecurity gets out of control, it will then graduate into hatred.

This hatred for David is confirmed in verses 10 and 11 of 1st Samuel 18, where we see Saul making two failed attempts to kill David with a javelin.  Why is this message so important? One will be naive to think that everyone will be excited about their breakthroughs/lifting in life.  Understand that for every new level/height you attain, you will have new enemies to contend with. It’s important to be aware of this fact so that you’re not taken by surprise.

All of a sudden, Saul (who was previously an ally) has become David’s arch enemy. Therefore, do not be surprised when some who may have been on your side before, now turn out to be adversaries to you.  By killing Goliath, David made a new enemy, much more treacherous than the dreaded Goliath and the enemies of Israel.  Before the account of David killing Goliath in the book of 1st Samuel Chapter 17, bible records that David had found favour with Saul the King (see 1st Samuel 16:22). But after the encounter with Goliath, overnight, the favour that David once had with the king, had turned to animosity.

Therefore, keep your eyes wide open as God continues to lift you, so you don’t fall prey to the adversary.  The hatred notwithstanding, David still made it to the throne as King.  The hatred of his arch enemy  could not stop God’s agenda for his life; he outlived his enemy and fulfilled divine plan. May you have a greater testimony in the name of Jesus.

But Note: David was not ignorant of the existence of a treacherous and crafty enemy called Saul; that’s why he survived the attempts on his life. You too must not be ignorant so that you can fulfill destiny without hurts.

I pray one prayer for you: May you never mistaken an enemy for a friend.  And may you always be several steps ahead of your enemies.  In verse 12 of 1st Samuel chapter 18, the scripture reveals:

“And Saul was afraid of David, because the Lord was with him…” (1st Samuel 18:1).

May your fear be upon your enemies from now on. In contrast, Verse 16 says: “But all Israel and Judah loved David…”.(1st Samuel 18:16)

Therefore I decree that in the midst of enemy hatred and hostility, you will find favour with those who matter. Will you say a loud Amen to that! Congratulations!

Meanwhile, without a relationship with God through Jesus Christ the Son, you have no real defence against the enemy.  If you desire to establish this relationship, please say the following prayer and mean it from your heart:

I believe that Jesus is the Son of God who came to die for my sins and I confess Him as Lord and Saviour.  Thank you Lord for saving me.

Amen.

Congratulations! if you said that prayer. The Word of God says you are now a new creature and old things are passed away. All things are become new (2 Corinthians 5:17). In other-words, God will never call your past life (sins/faults) to remembrance. They are totally forgiven and forgotten. Check this:

I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins. (Isaiah 43:25)

For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more (Hebrews 8:12 )
