3 Keys To Supernatural Liftings in Life

There is natural lifting and there is supernatural lifting. Whereas natural liftinig is lifting by the hand of man, supernatural lifting is lifting by the hand of God. When one is lifted by the hand of man, he or she can be subject to a fall by another human hand. However, when a person experiences lifting by the hand of God, no human hand can bring them down.

Now there are keys that opens the door to supernatural liftings in the kingdom. Thus, when these keys are engaged, one will keep rising and never come down. In this short teaching, we shall be examining three (3) of such vital keys that will make you an unstoppable high-flyer in life. Here they are:

 

Key #1. Supernatural Insight (Revelation)

 

Ezekiel 31:4  

The waters made him great, THE DEEP SET HIM UP ON HIGH with her rivers running round about his plants, and sent out her little rivers unto all the trees of the field. 

 

“The waters made him great…” - refers to the water of the Word or revelation (See Ephesians 5:25-26). So revelation or supernatural insight in God’s Word makes great. It continues to say: “The deep set him up on high…” Remember the word says that “Deep calleth unto deep…” (Psalm 42:7), speaking of depths in God or deeper insight into the truth. So The deeper you go into the Word, the higher you fly. “The deep set him up on high” says the word. So no one can end low in life who has depths in God.

 

In Isaiah 60:1-3, the Word says:

[1]  ARISE, SHINE; FOR THY LIGHT IS COME, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee. 

[2]  For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee. 

[3]  And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising. 

 

This means our rising or lifting in life is a function of encounters with light. “Arise, shine for thy light is come…” Light here refers to revelation of God’s Word or supernatural insight into the truth (see John 1:1-5). No wonder Apostle Paul in scripture credits his rising in life to encounters with revelation. He said: “I went up by revelation…” (Galatians 2:2).

 

When revelation takes you up, it keeps you up. That was the testimony of Paul the Apostle. Untill his death, he remained the apostle that everyone looked up to, though he came last among all the apostles. Even after his death, Paul remains the single apostle of the New Testament who’s epistles forms a majority part of God’s revealed Word to the church world today. His lifing was simply supernatural at the frequency of supernatural insight.

 

Let us conclude this section with one more scripture:

 

Ezekiel 31:5 

Therefore HIS HEIGHT WAS EXALTED ABOVE ALL THE TREES OF THE FIELD, and his boughs were multiplied, and his branches became long BECAUSE OF THE MULTITUDE OF WATERS, when he shot forth. 

 

It says: “…his height was exalted above all the trees of the field…because of the multitude of waters, when he shot forth”. Remember the “waters” refer to revelation of the word.  So when you develop depths in God’s Word (by the “multitude of waters”), you’ll naturally “shoot forth” or shoot-up in life. In other words, you’ll be exalted above your contemporaries.

 

Therefore, no more swimming in shallow waters.  Let’s go deeper into the Word to make discoveries that will lead to recoveries and take us to greater hights in life.

 

Key #2. A Lifestyle of Righteousness

Proverbs 14:34 

Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.

 

Righteousness exalts; in otherwords, it is a lifter of men. Righteousness is a promoter. Whereas sin is a demoter. Sin is a sinker; it does not lift. Rather it brings down. Consider some of our Patriachs in scripture who climbed to great hights in life. Speaking of men like Joseph, Daniel and King David. They were all lifted on the ladder of righteousness.

 

Joseph for instance rejected the free offer of having a sexual relationship with his master Portifer’s wife.  That singular act of integrity paved the way for his rising to the throne as Prime Minister in the most powerful Nation in that era. In another instance, Joseph refused to hurt his brothers who had previously betrayed him, even when he had the opportunity to do so. And what was his reason? in his own confession he said: “…for I fear God” (See Genesis 42:18). In otherwords, righteousness or the fear of God constrained him from doing evil. Thus, nothing could stop his lifting in life.

 

Also, Daniel a great man of unquestionable integrity rose to the position of Vice President in a foreign land (that is, a land where he was not a native). His lifting was simply supernatural, rooted in his righteous stand for God. He vowed to not defile himself with the king’s rich food (I.e. food dedicated to idol worship) - but instead chose to live on herbs and water (See Daniel 1:8-15). Thus, God took him by His hand and gave him an enviable placement in a mighty nation.

 

David also rose to sit on the enviable throne of the nation Isreal by reason of his dedication to a liftestyle of righteousness. On two different occasions, when David had a chance to seek revenge, he refused to lay hands on his enemy king Saul who was after David’s life to take it. Rather, he committed vengeance into God’s hands. He will not shed the blood of his master by his own hands. Thus, God honored him by making him king. Here is how the bible summarised  David’s life as King:

 

Psalm 78:70-72

[70]  HE CHOSE DAVID ALSO HIS SERVANT, and took him from the sheepfolds: 

[71]  From following the ewes great with young he brought him to feed Jacob his people, and Israel his inheritance. 

[72]  SO HE FED THEM ACCORDING TO THE INTEGRITY OF HIS HEART; and guided them by the skilfulness of his hands. 

 

Thus, bible recons with David as a man of integrity. Though it was on record during his reign that he fell into the sin of adultery and murder, yet David’s record as a man of integrity was not altered, simply because he had a repentant heart. He repented quickly when God chastised him for his error and he amneded his ways. He stayed faithful to God and God’s commandments to the end of his life. This goes to show that righteouness is not about never missing it; rather it is about having a heart of repentance when we miss it in one way or the other. A heart that is soft enough that God can still reach us to make ammends. It’s having a broken and contrite spririt! 

 

On the other hand, King Solomon went down by unrighteousness. He never repented even when God brought correction his way. He followed strange women to bow to other gods other than the true Living God of Isreal. That brought ruin to his kingdom.

 

It is my prayer that righteousness will take you up in life and keep you there to the end.

 

Key #3. Consistent Prayer

Act 3:1 

Now PETER AND JOHN WENT UP together into the temple AT THE HOUR OF PRAYER, being the ninth hour. 

 

The word says Peter and John went up…at the hour of prayer. So time to pray is time to go-up in life.

 

Prayer is a lifter of men in the kingdom. Whenever you pray, you change level supernaturally. That’s why those who are given to prayer never go down in life. They only go up.

 

Looking at the example of Daniel in the bible, one reason that accounted for his rise in Babylon was his conistent prayer life. Scripture records that he observed daily prayers three (3) times a day, and in one instance, he fasted and prayed continuesly for 21days (see Daniel 6:10 and Daniel 10:1-3).

 

The Life of Jesus Christ also teaches consistency in prayer life. He taught the desciples that …men ought always to pray and never to faint (Luke 18:1). His very ministry began with forty (40) days prayer and fasting. After that prayer expedition, bible records that his fame spread throughout the region and then the country (See Luke 4:1-14,18 and 37). Thus, his destiny shot-up suddenly because of his consistent prayer life.

 

May you experience a supernatural lift in life as you give yourself to the above demands of Word study for Revelation, righteouseness as a lifestyle and a consistent prayer life. Congratulations!

Jesus is Lord!

Steps to Experiencing God’s Glory!

We remember in the book of John the eleventh chapter, Jesus said to Martha (whose brother Lazarus was four (4) days dead) that if she could believe, she would see the glory of God (John 11:21-40). Refering to the glory of God, Jesus was talking about dead Lazarous coming back to life.  In otherwords God’s glory in your life is that miracle you desire to see or your desired change of story which seems impossible by all human estimations. But, truth is what is deemed impossible with man is very possible with God (Mark 10:27).

That said, what are the steps to seeing God’s glory manifest in one’s life? To experience God’s glory in any aspect of your life, do the following:

#1.  Find the Word Solution for your Challenge

Recognize that there is a word solution to every problem/concern of life. This is because God upholds/controls all things by the power of His word as revealed in Hebrews 1:3.  All things created were created by the word (John 1:1-3).  Therefore, the Word is the final authority on any issue of life. So, whenever confronted with any challnge of life, consult the word for answers. Find out what it has to say on that issue confronting you. Whatever the word says is final!

#2.  Believe It

Whatever be the word’s recommended solution to the problem at hand, believe it. Believe whatever the Word of God says concerning your case. Believing God’s Word is believing God, and believing God commits His integrity for performance. As it is written:

“Blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord” (Luke 1:45)

Believing is agreeing in your heart that what the word says is true and final.

Next thing to do is

#3. Say It and Say It Long

Believing what God has said is what we call faith.  Now the evidence of faith or believing is proclaiming or saying what God has said.  For instance, if the issue at hand is in the area of healing, God’s word in Isaiah 53:5 says “He [Christ] was wounded for our transgressions…and with His stripes we are healed”

The word also says: “Let the weak say I am strong” - Joel 3:10

Therefore, instead of saying or confessing sickness, you say “I am strong” and you keep saying that in order to see your desired change of story in health.

Now the rule here is that you say it boldy and you say it for a long time. You will not say it just once for the situation to change.  You will have to persist in saying it untill your story changes.  In Acts 14:3, concerning some of Christ’s desciples who manifested the glory of God, the word syas:

“Long time therefore abode they speaking boldy in the Lord, which  gave testimony unto the word of His grace and granted signs and wonders to be done by their hands”

In otherwords, the disciples kept speaking bolding in the Lord and they did so for a long time, and then suddenly signs and wonders errupted, thereby establishing their desired testimonies or change of stories.  So that is the way to go.  Whatever you have found from the word concerning your case, you must keep saying it and boldly so untill your desire becomes a living testimony for all to see. Say it in the face of every devil. It may attract mockery when you say it, but keep saying it and soon, your testimony will silence your mockers.

Just like more than two (2) decades ago, God’s servant my spiritual father Bishop David Oyedepo found the secrtes to kingdom wealth and began to declare in his very state of poverty “I cannot be poor”--he was bitterly mocked but today the mockers have gone into hiding as the proofs are too obvious that even the blind can see.

What Happens when you speak like this?

A. Saying what you believe forces the enemy to bow

Psalm 18:44-45

[44]  As soon as they hear of me, they shall obey me: the strangers shall submit themselves unto me.

[45]  The strangers shall fade away, and be afraid out of their close places.

Who are the strangers? Every situation or anything happening in your life contrary to God’s word is a stranger. Such as sickness, frustration and failure among others. Scripture above says that when you begin to boldly declare the word that you believe, the strangers will disappear.  So the healing you did not have is the healing you did not say (in otherwords, the sickness you have is the sickness you did not tell to go away).  The prosperity you did not have is the prosperity you did not say. And the success/breakthrough you did not have is the success/breakthrough you did not say.

Finally,

Step #4. Give God Thanks

Give God thanks ahead of the manifestation of your heart desire. Let’s confirm this point with just two scriptural examples.

First, Jesus at the tomb of Lazarus gave God thanks before Lazarus came back to life (see John 11:40-44)

Second, before Jesus fed the 5000 people with the 5 loaves of bread and 2 fishes, he gave thanks to God and afterwords the food multiplied supernaturally (see John 6:1-14).

Therefore, make it a habit to always give God thanks ahead of the manifestation of your heart desire.  Thanksgiving is faith in action and faith always moves God to fulfill His word (See Romans 4:16-22).

Now go ahead and follow these four (4) simple steps heralded above and manifest God’s glory in your life. It’s your turn to see the glory of God!!

Proverbs 18:14:  

The spirit of a man will sustain his infirmity; but a wounded spirit who can bear? 

Infirmity refers to sickness. But God has ordained that your human spirit can sustain you in sickness. God has built immunity agaist sickness and disease into your spiritman. Therefore, the key to living a sickness-free life or overcoming attacks of sickness and diseases is to develop a robust spirit.

But How Do You Do That?

#1. By Feeding Fat On The Word

--------------------------------------------------

God’s Word is spirit food. King David lived a super healthy life to a good old age (1 Chronicles 29:26-28). He said in Psalm 119:19-100:

[97]  MEM. O how love I thy law! it is my meditation all the day. 

[98]  Thou through thy commandments hast made me wiser than mine enemies: for they are ever with me. 

[99]  I have more understanding than all my teachers: for thy testimonies are my meditation. 

[100]  I understand more than the ancients, because I keep thy precepts. 

God’s Word was his delight, so he dwelt on the Word of God all through the day.  That’s one secret of his strength.

It says in Colosians 3:16:

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

In Job 23:12 it is written:

Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food.

To this personality, God’s Word was better than food. This is because God’s Word is spirit food. It is food for your spirit. So feed fat on the word to build a robust spirit. The word is powerful (Hebrews 4:12, Ecclesiastes 8:4); so you’re building power into your spirit. The word is imortal; so you’re building imortality into your spirit. Thus, you’re building immunity against sickness and diseases into your spirit as you feed on the Word.

#2. By Praying in the Holy Ghost

Jude 1:20  

But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,

So when you pray in the spirit, you’re building up your spirit. Therefore, Learn to pray in the holy Ghost regularly and grow in it by praying for increasingly longer periods. 

Finally, on this segment, in Isaiah 28:11 it is written:

[11] For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people. 

[12]  To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and This Is The Refreshing: 

So whenever you pray in tongues (spirit), your human spirit is refreshed.

#3. Walking in Love

--------------------------------

This is talking about love for God and for humanity (people). 

Luke 10:27  

And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.

Deuteronomy 6:4-6  

[4] Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD: 

[5]  And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. 

[6]  And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: 

What happens when you love God and by extention people too?

1John 4:16  

And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.

When you love God, you abide in God and God in you.  That is, you’re cocoon in God and God abides in your spirt.  God’s very person abiding in your spirit makes your spirit robust.

You love God as you love the advancement of His affairs on the earth.

#4. A Lifestyle of Joyfulness, Thanksgiving and Praise

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Your human spirit also becomes robust through a lifestyle of gratitude, praise and worship to God.

Nehemiah 8:10  

Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength.

Neither be sorrowful because the joy of the Lord is your strength. In otherwords, your joy in God demonstrated through your thankgiving and praise is the secret of your strength. It strengthens your spirit and then your physical body as a result. In Philipians 4:4, it says:  

Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.

The reason being that you’re full of God’s presence when you’r joyful.

Psalm 16:11  

Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

So each time your heart is full of gratitute, rejoicing in praise to the Lord, His presence saturates your spirit. Thus, a continous lifestyle of joy and rejoicing builds up your human spirit, making it rubust to withstand and subdue the storms of life such as sickness and disease that may come up against your body.

#5. The Secret of Rest

Isaiah 30:15

In returning and rest ye shall be saved. In quietness and in confidence shall be your strength..

That is to say, if you must be saved or rescued in times of trouble such as sickness and disease, then learn this secret of rest. And this rest is two dimensional

 1st Physical Rest

A tired, worn out body will result in a weary spirit.  Therefore, in order for the spirit to function properly, the body must be given adequate rest.

 2nd Resting in God and on His promises

In Isaiah 30:7 God said:

For the Egyptians shall help in vain, and to no purpose: therefore have I cried concerning this, Their strength is to sit still. 

The secret of our strength is to sit still waiting on God and resting on His promises. So take your rest in God. When you do, then God will move in your behalf and subdue whatever may be contrary to your wellbeing.  As it is written:

Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. - Psalm 46:10

Every assault on your health is over from today!!

Meanwhile, a relationship with God through  His Son is the starting point. As it is written:

I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me (John 14:6)

So Jesus is the only way to God the Father. Therefore, If you want Jesus in your life, Please say this simple prayer:

Worth More than Gold

 Isaiah 13:12: 

I will make a man more precious than fine gold; even a man than the golden wedge of Ophir. 

God is able make you as a person more precious than the most precious gold. That means your value in life is determined by your relationship with God. The closer your walk with God the greater your value. As you draw closer to God the more you increase in value/worth. This truth is confirmed in Malachi 3:17

And they shall be mine, saith the LORD of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels..

When God has proven your faithfulness in your walk with Him, then He makes you into one of His precious jewels. In otherwords, you become a priceless asset to Him and as a result a priceless asset on the earth. Thus, the real value of a person in life is their value with God.

Furthermore, when the Lord says that He will make you more precious than the finest God, that means you will also have material wealth (gold) in abundance and yet all of that will not measure up to your actual value with Him. In Job 22:21-25, we find these awesome words from the Lord as a confirmation:

[21]  Acquaint now thyself with him, and be at peace: thereby good shall come unto thee. 

[22]  Receive, I pray thee, the law from his mouth, and lay up his words in thine heart. 

[23]  If thou return to the Almighty, thou shalt be built up, thou shalt put away iniquity far from thy tabernacles. 

[24]  Then shalt thou lay up gold as dust, and the gold of Ophir as the stones of the brooks. 

[25]  Yea, the Almighty shall be thy defence, and thou shalt have plenty of silver. 

It says to get acquainted with God (get to know Him deeper) through His word. Delight in obeying His laws which includes walking in the fear of God, then you’ll lay up gold as dust (i.e. wealth in excess). Gold will be to you like dust.

So what else is the essence of the message?

That do not worry about money (gold). You are potentially of more value than all the gold in this world. Your walk with God is a goldmine. So get bussy with God. Draw closer to Him daily in prayer, word study and a lifestyle of obedience to His instructions. Then as you do so, you’ll increase in value and also in substance.

In conclusion, no one diminishes in life walking with God. You only appreciate in value. The good news is that you shall become a person of great worth. Congratulations!
