THE POTTER AND THE CLAY

 Jeremaiah 18:1-6

(1)  The word which came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying,

(2)  Arise, and go down to the potter's house, and there I will cause thee to hear my words.

(3)  Then I went down to the potter's house, and, behold, he wrought a work on the wheels.

(4)  And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it.

(5)  Then the word of the LORD came to me, saying,

(6)  O house of Israel, cannot I do with you as this potter? saith the LORD. Behold, as the clay is in the potter's hand, so are ye in mine hand, O house of Israel.

God is the potter. We are the clay. Our lives and destinies are being molded. If the initial design/plan has failed, He is able to remold us into another vessel (shape/form) according to His desire. So ours as the clay is a life of total abandonment in the hands of the potter. God is not done with us yet. So let’s leave it to him and watch what He does with our lives.  Remember He’s a master craftsman and architect (Proverbs 3:19-20/Jeremiah 10:12); when he’s finished with His work, all eyes will behold the glory of our lives, a showpiece in His showroom of life.

As we conclude, let us know that we become the clay in the hands of God the potter only by accepting Jesus His Son as our saviour and Lord. If you want Jesus in your life, Please say this simple prayer and mean it from your heart:

I believe that Jesus is the Son of God and He shed His precious blood for my sins. Today, I confess Him as Lord and Saviour.  Thank you Lord Jesus for saving me!

Amen.

Congratulations! if you said that prayer. The Word of God says you are now a new creature and old things are passed away. All things are become new (2 Corinthians 5:17). In other-words, God will never call your past life (sins/faults) to remembrance. They are totally forgiven and forgotten. Check this:

I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins. (Isaiah 43:25)

For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more (Hebrews 8:12)

If you have said this prayer, we encourage you to get into a bible believing church near you where you can grow in the Lord (1st Peter 2:2 and 2nd Samuel 7:10) . You can receive more inspiration by connecting through our various social media handles below:
