- Love does not base her actions on what the other person is doing. Love just loves
- Love does not expect anything in return
- Love is proactive; not reactive
- Love covers all sins (Proverbs 10:12). It does not expose the sins/errors of the other person
- Love is tenderhearted and quick to forgive
- Love is patient—perhaps the most crucial attribute. It does not give up easily on people
- Love gives room for error—it does not crucify people for doing wrong
- Love allows people to be themselves
- Love gives room for the other person to grow
- Love is attractive—it pulls like magnet. That’s why Jesus Christ (who is Love Himself) drew so much crowd to Himself during His earthly ministry (see Matthew 4:25, Matthew 8:1, Luke 5:15)
- Love assumes/thinks the best of people
- Many waters cannot quench love—love never fails
- And the ultimate: Love is a choice:
I believe that Jesus is the Son of God who came to die for my sins and I confess Him as Lord and Saviour. Thank you Lord for saving me. Amen.
Congratulations! if you said that prayer. The Word of God says you are now a new creature and old things are passed away. All things are become new (2 Corinthians 5:17). In other-words, God will never call your past life (sins/faults) to remembrance. They are totally forgiven and forgotten. Check this:
I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins. (Isaiah 43:25)
For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more (Hebrews 8:12 )

Mawudem,
A surely refreshing piece. Captures a lot. I believe the problem these days is that we forget that we have made a decision to love. Sometimes I guess we think that we do not need to practice love but I tell, constant practice is needed.
One point I believe you need to revise is that Love makes excuses for the other. I believe it is more like (covers all sin) says in spite of the wrong I will still love.
Beautiful one there
Cheers,
Henry
Thanks very much Brother Henry. It's been such a long time. I trust the Lord is taking you to greater heights in life. Warm regards to family
