Hosea 13:14
I will ransom them from the power of the grave; I will redeem them from death: O death, I will be thy plagues; O grave, I will be thy destruction: repentance shall be hid from mine eyes.
Psalm 49:15
But God will redeem my soul from the power of the grave: for he shall receive me. Selah.
Psalm 49:8
(For the redemption of their soul is precious, and it ceaseth for ever:)
The above scriptures reveals God’s intentions against untimely death in the life of his people.
But why are so many people around the world today becoming victims of the plague of untimely death? Here is God’s answer:
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: -- Hosea 4:6
Lack of knowledge of God’s provision for our safety and preservation in this wicked world makes one vulnerable to the evil plans of the devil whose agenda is to steal, kill and to destroy:
John 10:10 :
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
Therefore, disasters such as the recent plane crush of the Indian airline where multitudes perished are simply the work of the enemy (also known as the thief). It is not God’s doing. On the contrary, God’s plan is that we have life and have it in abundance. While my heart goes out to the victims and families of the victims of the plane crush, my heart goes out even more to the rest of humanity who are still breathing, who can have the opportunity to know this truth I’m sharing and be delivered from such a misfortune. If one person could survive that plane crush, then you could be that survivor in any disaster that may strike.
1Corinthians 15:55-57
(55) O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
(56) The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
(57) But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
As we can see clearly, God’s plan for us is victory over death and misfortune when we surrender our lives to Christ.
Psalm 56:13
For thou hast delivered my soul from death: wilt not thou deliver my feet from falling, that I may walk before God in the light of the living?
God’s heart desire is that we walk before Him in the land of the living (not in the land of the dead).
Psalm 116:8
For thou hast delivered my soul from death, mine eyes from tears, and my feet from falling.
Good news is that God will deliver your soul from death and your eyes from tears. In other-words not only will God ensure that you enjoy long life, He will also see to it that you never have to shed any tears over your loved ones because of untimely death. This is the will of God for His people. Now check the following scripture:
Job 5:20
In famine he shall redeem thee from death: and in war from the power of the sword.
That means under God’s covenant provision for the protection and preservation of his children, there is no event that can take place in this world to cause the untimely death of the child of God. Not famine, not even war (I.e. worst case scenario). No outbreak of war, no matter how terrible can take your life. Believe God’s word for it. Talk less of other agents of death like accidents, sickness, natural disasters among others.
Psalm 34:20
He keepeth all his bones: not one of them is broken.
God will keep all your bones intact until when your days here are complete and He calls you home (See Psalm 91:16). No war, natural disaster, accident or sickness will break your bones. You’re unbreakable, “unkillable” and indestructible. That’s who you are in Christ. Believe it, receive it and walk in it.
Meanwhile, the beginning of our journey into God’s protection and preservation on the earth is having a relationship with his Son Jesus Christ. Scripture says:
But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God… (John 1:12)
Therefore, If you want Jesus in your life, Please say this simple prayer:
I believe that Jesus is the Son of God and He shed His precious blood for my sins. Today, I confess Him as Lord and Saviour. Thank you Lord Jesus for saving me!
Amen.
Congratulations! if you said that prayer. The Word of God says you are now a new creature and old things are passed away. All things are become new (2 Corinthians 5:17). In other-words, God will never call your past life (sins/faults) to remembrance. They are totally forgiven and forgotten. Check this:
I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins. (Isaiah 43:25)
For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more (Hebrews 8:12)
