Any part of God’s Word that one puts his/her confidence in moves God to fulfill it. Confidence in God’s word moves God to action. Because, God is committed to His eternal Word which He has exalted far above His very name.
How Do You Express Confidence in God’s Word?
#1. Believe what God has said in His Word that moves you (2Chronicles 20:20)
#2. Declare with your mouth or lips God’s Word that you have believed
It says in Isaiah 43:26b “…declare thou that thou mayest be justified”
In other-words, declare it and it shall be established. What you declare with your mouth is what God confirms in your life.
#3. If there are any demands of obedience in line with what God has said, go ahead and obey (do it)
For instance, in scripture, God through a little maid told Naaman the Syrian General (who was a leper) that the God of the Israelite or Jew could heal him through his prophet. Then as they went to see God’s prophet, God required of Naaman to go and wash 7 times in the river Jordan before he would be cleansed of his leprosy. Now he believed the word of this maid, and that’s why he travelled to see the prophet of God in the first place. But then he had to also obey the demands for his healing as placed on him by God through His prophet. Naaman did and God fulfilled his word towards him, so he was miraculously healed (See 2Kings 5:1-6 & 9-14).
So for instance, if you need healing from God and decide to put your faith in God’s word that says: “…I am the Lord that healeth thee” (Exodus 15:26). For your miracle to be established, you must not only declare this word, but you must also find out other demands of healing such as the word which says ”And the inhabitant shall not say I am sick…” (Isaiah 33:24). Therefore as you keep declaring over your life that God is your healer, you must be sure never to use the same mouth to say “I am sick”. In other words, you must obey the covenant demand for healing which forbids you from saying “I am sick”.
In another instance, in the area of finance, if one believes God’s word of prosperity that says you shall be blessed above all people (Dueteronomy 7:14), it will also be necessary to obey a fundamental demand of prosperity or covenant blessing which is tithing as recorded in Malachi 3:8-12, in order for the word of blessing in Deuteronomy 7 to be practically fulfilled in their life.
So next,
#4. Expect God to fulfill his Word in your life
It is written:
“Blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord” - Luke 1:45
Finally,
#5. Give thanks to God in expectation of the fulfillment of His Word and thank Him again when the Word is practically fulfilled
We saw this play out so well in the life of king Hezekiah. After he received the word of prophecy from the mouth of the prophet that 15 extra years were going to be added to his life, immediately, he began to celebrate the prophecy. As recorded in Isaiah 38:20, Hezekiah rejoiced saying:
“The Lord was ready to save [heal] me: therefore we will sing my songs to the stringed instruments all the days of our life in the house of the Lord” (Emphasis mine)
That attitude of gratitude committed God to fulfill his Word in his direction. So shall it be for you too as you put these timeless divine secretes to work.
And remember, after God has done it, you must remember to give Him thanks again so as to commit Him to your next miracle. When you forget to give Him the glory, He too forgets you. But good news is, you shall not be forgotten. It’s your time for a miracle!
Meanwhile, before you can begin to receive a miracle from God, you must become one of his children. It is natural for a father to want to help his own children. And you become a child of God by receiving His son Jesus Christ into your life as Lord and Saviour. Scripture says:
But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God… (John 1:12)
Therefore, If you want Jesus in your life, Please say this simple prayer:
I believe that Jesus is the Son of God and He shed His precious blood for my sins. Today, I confess Him as Lord and Saviour. Thank you Lord Jesus for saving me!
Amen.
Congratulations! if you said that prayer. The Word of God says you are now a new creature and old things are passed away. All things are become new (2 Corinthians 5:17). In other-words, God will never call your past life (sins/faults) to remembrance. They are totally forgiven and forgotten. Check this:
I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins. (Isaiah 43:25)
For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more (Hebrews 8:12)
