ABRAHAM'S BLESSING IS YOURS

 Isaiah 51:1-3

(1)Hearken to me, ye that follow after righteousness, ye that seek the LORD: look unto the rock whence ye are hewn, and to the hole of the pit whence ye are digged.

(2)  Look unto Abraham your father, and unto Sarah that bare you: for I called him alone, and blessed him, and increased him.

(3)  For the LORD shall comfort Zion: he will comfort all her waste places; and he will make her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of the LORD; joy and gladness shall be found therein, thanksgiving, and the voice of melody.

 

God is saying that He will bless you just the same way that He blessed Abraham. So He says to look unto Abraham your father.  Abraham is known as the father of faith in scripture.  So he is our spiritual Father. And God says to look at him. "See what I did in His life. See how I blessed Him; I’m going to do same for you."

 

“Look unto Abraham your father…for I called him alone, and blessed him, and increased him.”

 

It continues in verse three (3) by saying:

 

For the LORD shall comfort Zion: he will comfort all her waste places; and he will make her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of the LORD…

 

Zion in scripture refers to the church of the living God and the redeemed. That’s talking about you and I who are saved in Christ. We’re the church. We’re Zion (See Hebrews 12:22-24). So by inference, God is saying “as I did for Abraham so will I do for you, the church. I will comfort you like I comforted Abraham. I will bless you like I blessed Abraham.” Furthermore, everyone that is redeemed in Christ is an heir of the blessings of Abraham. In  Galatians 3:29, the Word says:

 

And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise. 

 

New birth has made you and I the seed of Abraham and as such heirs of Abraham’s blessing.  So question is how was Abraham blessed? In Genesis 13:2, it says:

And Abram was very rich in cattle, in silver, and in gold. 

 

Abraham was very rich. So expect that God will so bless you with possessions that you’ll be very rich. Also, it said in Genesis 24:1

And Abraham was old, and well stricken in age: and the LORD had blessed Abraham in all things. 

 

So how was Abraham blessed?  He was very rich and he was blessed in all things.  Abraham was blessed in every way you can think of.  Blessed maritally, blessed with children, blessed intellectually, blessed spiritually, blessed materially/financially, blessed emotionally, blessed socially, blessed physically health-wise and blessed with long life (he lived to 175years - see Genesis 25:7). All these dimensions of blessings and more are your heritage as an heir of Abraham. So get excited; having giving your life to Christ, you have signed up for a life of blessing and it’s time for you to be blessed.

 

Now, as we conclude, let’s consider a few more details of this blessing from our beginning text (Isaiah 51). In verse 3 it says:

 

For the LORD shall comfort Zion: he will comfort all her waste places; and he will make her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of the LORD…

 

When the blessing comes, your wilderness situation will become like the garden of Eden.  Eden is a picture of affluence and a life of ease (See Genesis 2:8-15).  In it, Adam had all things at his disposal. He did not struggle for anything. He had every need met, every provision in abundant supply. That means God is turning your situation around to look like the garden of Eden. You’re entering into your season of ease, your season of surplus, and your season of rest from all struggles. Receive this blessing and walk in it. Congratualtions!

 

Meanwhile, to become an heir of Abraham you must surrender your life to Christ. Scripture says:

And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise. (Galatians 3:29)

Therefore, If you want to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour, Please say this simple prayer:

I believe that Jesus is the Son of God and He shed His precious blood for my sins. Today, I confess Him as Lord and Saviour.  Thank you Lord Jesus for saving me!

Amen.

God Will Help You

Isaiah 41:10-14

(10)  Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

(11)  Behold, all they that were incensed against thee shall be ashamed and confounded: they shall be as nothing; and they that strive with thee shall perish.

(12)  Thou shalt seek them, and shalt not find them, even them that contended with thee: they that war against thee shall be as nothing, and as a thing of nought.

(13)  For I the LORD thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee.

(14)  Fear not, thou worm Jacob, and ye men of Israel; I will help thee, saith the LORD, and thy redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.

 

One thing is clear from our text: God’s help is coming your way. When almighty God says He will help you, you can rest assured that you’re covered. When God’s help reaches out to you, everything will turn in your favour. What distinguishes men and women in the kingdom is the help of God that the enjoy. The secrete of great men and women that were made in the kingdom is not that they were strong. It is simply that they were helped of God. Their strength was in the help of God made available to them.  For instance it is said concerning David, the greatest king till date in Isreal,

“For at that time day by day there came to David to help him, until it was a great host, like the host of God.” - 1Chronicles 12:22

A cardinal sign of experiencing God’s help is when you enjoy help from men without requesting or begging for it.  That was David’s experience. Day by day people came from everywhere to help him simply because God moved them to do so.  When you have found favour with God, you enjoy his help and when His help is extended to you, men and women are moved on your behalf to come and help you even when you don’t call for it. That kind of help is coming your way this season. Say a loud amen if you believe it.

 

Therefore our greatest need in the race of destiny is to secure the help of God. The help of God is superior to any other kind of help we may get in life. Because when God the most powerful personality in the universe helps you, you become a force to reckon with.  When the Omnipotent One helps you, then you’re done in life. That’s why David said:

I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth. - Psalm 121:2

 

Another thing is clear form our main text (Isaiah 41:10-14): because of the help of God, those who rise up against you will be destroyed. The scripture said:

 

(11) Behold, all they that were incensed against thee shall be ashamed and confounded: they shall be as nothing; and they that strive with thee shall perish.

(12)  Thou shalt seek them, and shalt not find them, even them that contended with thee: they that war against thee shall be as nothing, and as a thing of nought.

(13)  For I the LORD thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee.

 

When you have secured the help of the Omnipotent One, you can forget about your enemies.  God, the Almighty One will take care of them for you. Isn’t that wonderful? That means you’ll begin to live a life of rest when you encounter God’s help. A life devoid of fear of oppositions. A life full of confidence and assurance of a great tomorrow. This is what God will accomplish in your life from this time forward.  Will you say a rejoicing amen, if you believe it.

 

Meanwhile, for God to become your eternal helper, you must become one of his children. It is natural for a father to want to help his own children. And you become a child of God by receiving His son Jesus Christ into your life as Lord and Saviour. Scripture says:

But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God… (John 1:12)

Therefore, If you want Jesus in your life, Please say this simple prayer:

Jesus is Lord!

A PROPHETIC WORD FROM ISAIAH 35

Isaiah 35:1-7 (KJV)

(1)   The wilderness and the solitary place shall be glad for them; and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose.

 

Message: It is your season of celebration! Because your life is about to blossom like never before.  The desert represents hopelessness. So you that many considered a hopeless case, that nothing good could come out of your life, you’re going to blossom like a rose.

 

(2)   It shall blossom abundantly, and rejoice even with joy and singing: the glory of Lebanon shall be given unto it, the excellency of Carmel and Sharon, they shall see the glory of the LORD, and the excellency of our God.

Message: You will so blossom that the glory of God shall be evident in your life. When people look at you from now on, they will only see the glory of God in your life.

(3)  Strengthen ye the weak hands, and confirm the feeble knees.

(4)  Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you.

 

Message: No matter your present situation, no matter what you may be going through now, God is about to work a great deliverance in your life so do not fear. God will deal vengeance against whatever may be troubling you; he will save you from that situation.

 

(5)   Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped.

 

Message: This talks about clarity of vision. Wherever your spiritual eyes were blinded, hitherto, from seeing your way forward in life, your eyes will now be opened and you’ll begin to see very clearly your way forward in life. Your vision is coming alive.  Your spiritual ears will also be opened so that you can hear from God and receive direction for your life.

 

(6)   Then shall the lame man leap as an hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing: for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert.

 

Message: When one is lame, they are immobilized. In other-words, every form of motion or progress seizes.  But God is saying the lame shall be begin to leap, meaning that any area of your life where progress was halted, God is restoring progress supernaturally.  You will begin to make dramatic, leaping progress from now on. It also says “the tongue of the dumb [will] sing”. This means wherever you have been silenced by the enemy hitherto, you will have cause to sing. You’ll have cause to rejoice.  Indeed, it’s your season of celebration!

And why will you celebrate? The scripture adds that because waters and streams will breakout of the wilderness and desert. In case you have been through a wilderness/desert experience hitherto; you have been through a season of dryness. Cry no more.  It is now your season of plenty; your season of abundance.  You will no longer experience the scarcity that you knew before. Waters are breaking out of your wilderness. Streams are flowing out of your desert.  Get set for supernatural provisions beyond your wildest imagination.  God is going to do the extraordinary in your life.  

 

(7)  And the parched ground shall become a pool, and the thirsty land springs of water: in the habitation of dragons, where each lay, shall be grass with reeds and rushes.

 

Message: Verse 7 concludes it: “The parched ground shall become a pool, and the thirsty lands, springs of water.”So get set for the extraordinary move of God in your finances this season.  The lean season is now over.  Step into the season of God’s extraordinary blessings.  Favour that you never imagined will be hitting you at every turn, bringing provisions beyond your wildest imagination. Truly, it’s your season of Celebration!

 

Meanwhile, If you do not have a relationship with God through His son Jesus Christ, then this is your opportunity to establish that relationship. Jesus said:

I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me (John 14:6)

So Jesus is the only way to God the Father. Therefore, If you want Jesus in your life, Please say this simple prayer:
