Two Outstanding Keys to Success In Life

#1. Discover God’s Plan for your Life

This is also known as vision.  And vision is not making our own plans; it is God’s design but man’s discovery. It is the manufacturer that determines the functions of a product. So first and most important key to success is to find out what God, your manufacturer, wants you to do.When Saul of Tarsus (who became Paul the Apostle) encountered God on the way to Damascus (on the way to do what he was not assigned by God to do), he asked the right question: “…Lord, what wilt thou have me to do?…”. (Act 9:6) Every right question deserves a right answer, so eventually he was told what to do, and that chart the course for his life--he had a vision to run with.  So begin to ask the right question. “Lord what is your plan for my life?" "What do you want me to do?" That’s the question that will decide your destiny.

God said in Jeremiah 29:11 (KJV),

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

A different version of the same scripture says:

I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans of welfare and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Then He continues in verses twelve (12) and thirteen (13)(KJV):

(12)  Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.

(13)  And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.

So begin to seek God for that plan today.

#2.Get Committed to Living By This Divine Plan

There’s no way anyone can miss the road to true success pursuing God’s plan for their lives.

And what makes following God’s plan or vision so key to Success?

When we follow God’s plan,

  • We Enjoy Divine Provision

After Jesus sent His disciples on on a mission, at their return, He asked them a vital question:

“…When I sent you without purse, and scrip, and shoes, lacked ye anything? And they said nothing” (Luke 22:35)

That means for every divine vision/assignment, there’s a divine allocation in terms of provisions to carry out the assignment (or provisions to meet the demands of the assignment).  When God gives you a vision to run with, He becomes responsible for meeting all your needs in pursuit of that vision/assignment.  That is why it is impossible to suffer lack when you’re following God’s plan for your life. There’s always a timely supply to meet all demands of the assignment.  It is quite interesting because before Jesus sent the disciples, He asked them not to carry anything in terms of provision. That means all the provision for the assignment is in the assignment. It is already allocated, so disbursements are made as and when the need arises. That’s why a man or woman on a divine mission enjoys rest (he/she does not need to worry about provision).

Following up on Apostle Paul’s mission, for instance, we saw that he committed himself to the preaching of the gospel which was the assignment that the Lord had given him (see Act 13:46-47). And as he did so, he never lacked. In one instance, scripture records:

Acts 28:30-31

(30)  And Paul dwelt two whole years in his own hired house, and received all that came in unto him,

(31)  Preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching those things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ, with all confidence, no man forbidding him.

As long as he was committed to God’s plan for his life, God’s provision was enough to afford a residential quarters (a “hired house”) where he preached the gospel for two (2) whole years. As you commit to God’s plan for your life, expect God’s abundant provisions meeting all your needs in Jesus name. Amen.

Next,

  • We Enjoy Divine Backing

When God sends anyone on a mission, He backs them up to ensure that they succeed.

What ways does God back you up on a divine mission?

When you’re running any errand for God, He works with you to ensure that the mission does not fail.  For instance, when the disciples of Jesus went about pursuing the great commission to preach the gospel as committed to them by the master, bible says:

“...the Lord [was] working with them, and confirming the word with signs following…” (Mark 16:20, paraphrased).

It is impossible for God to fail at anything, and He works with you on the mission he sends you on; so it’s absolutely impossible that you fail. That’s why when pursuing divine plan, you become a super mega success.

Not only does God work with you, He also works in you.  Philippians 2:13 says:

For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

Because God works in you, your capacity for performance is boosted. You’re not running with your own energy, skill or wisdom anymore.  You have “borrowed” God’s own. So there are things you’ll be able to accomplish that may be humanly impossible explain.

Then also God works for you as He back you up in the divine assignment.  It says in 1st Thessalonians 5:24:

Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.

In other words, God who has called you for that assignment is so faithful that He will also do it for you.  When you have reached your own limits (humanly speaking), He takes over from there.

  • We Enjoy Divine Protection and Preservation

The beautiful thing about running with a vision from God is that when God sends anyone on errand, He does not leave them to go alone. He goes with them. When Jesus commissioned the disciples to go into the world and preach the gospel, He followed up with this assurance; He said, “…Lo I am with you always even to the end of the world” (Matthew 28:19-20). And remember what Apostle Paul Said: “…If God be for us, who can be against us?” (Romans 8:31). God with you is enough assurance of protection--for God with you is God for you. So only what can molest God will be able to molest you.  Only what can touch God will be able to touch you.  And tell me who or what that is?

Why is this point so vital? Because often, anyone on the road to success will encounter road blocks, in terms of resistances or oppositions from the enemy. Once upon a time, Apostle Paul during his mission said, “for a great door and effectual is open unto me and there are many adversaries” (1 Corinthians 16:9). But the good news is that when you’re running with God’s plan, forget about the adversaries because they are no math for your God who goes with you. Leave the adversaries to Him; He’ll take care of them (For further reading, See Isaiah 45:1-3, Jeremiah 1:19, Isaiah 41:10-13).

We said success begins with a discovery of God’s plan for our lives. That means one must have a relationship with God to be able to access His plans and purposes. Jesus died for the sins of humanity to establish that relationship for us. Therefore, the salvation of one’s soul is what it takes to establish an active relationship with our maker. In other-words, one needs to accept Jesus Christ as their lord and personal saviour, for that relationship to begin. If you desire to have this relationship with God so you can begin to talk to Him about your future, then lets pray:

I believe that Jesus is the Son of God who came to die for my sins and I confess Him as Lord and Saviour.  Thank you Lord.

Amen.

Congratulations! if you said that prayer. The Word of God says you are now a new creature and old things are passed away. All things are become new (2 Corinthians 5:17). In other-words, God will never call your past life (sins/faults) to remembrance. They are totally forgiven and forgotten. Check this:

I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins. (Isaiah 43:25)

For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more (Hebrews 8:12 )

Keep Yourself in God’s Love

 Jude 1:21

Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.

Why are we admonished by the Lord to keep ourselves in the love of God? Because God’s love is divine security and a guarantee that we will make heaven at the end of our journey here on earth. Lets look at it closely.

God’s love offers two things:

#1. Divine Security

Looking at this grammatically, the word used in our text is “Keep”. And as used in the context of this scripture, it means to preserve. For instance in Numbers 6:26, it says:

“The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: ”

That means the Lord bless thee and preserve thee.  Now in our main text, it says to “Keep yourselves in the love of God…”. which implies that to be preserved in a wicked world in which we live one needs to stay in the love of God.  The Love of God will keep (preserve) you.

Now let us see from God’s Word, how the love of God can preserve the believer.  First, we look at 1st John 4:16. It says:

“And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. ”

It is very clear that when we dwell in love, we’re dwelling in God and God in us. Now that offers a double edged protection: you’re in God and God in you. That makes us unbeatable in any battle of life, untouchable/unassaultalbe by any adversary. As Paul the Apostle boldly declared in Romans 8:31 that “…if God be for us, who can be against us?”. That means nothing can come against you and survive. As we have seen already, when you dwell in love, you’re in God. So whatever comes against you, comes against God. And whatever comes against God will be crushed.  Because, He’s “…the Lord strong and mighty. The Lord mighty in battle” (Psalm 24:8).  He is the unbreakable Rock (Deuteronomy 32:4&31, 1st Samuel 2:2).  Anyone and anything that comes against Him is broken into pieces and when He lands on anything it is grounded to powder (Matthew 21:42&44).  This is great security for the redeemed.  Now lets examine one more scripture to conclude this point.

Ephesians 3:17-19

(17)  That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,

(18)  May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;

(19)  And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.

When we’re rooted and grounded in God’s love, we’re filled with all the fullness of God.  And when you’re filled with God, you’re no more an ordinary human being; you have become a divine personality in human flesh (walking the earth).  That makes you untouchable, unmolestable and indestructible by any force.  It’s a fully-loaded security, unmatchable anywhere in this world.

Just two examples from scripture to show for it. We’re told how that Abraham the great lover of God, rallied his little army of only 318 men and routed an enemy troop of several thousands, beating them hands down and recovered his cousin who had been taken captive (see Genesis 14:1-17).  It’s too clear from the account that it was God Himself that went to battle for His lover (Abraham) that day, as there is no human explanation for such a feat.  We’re also told how God executed vengeance on the household of a heathen king for taking Abraham’s wife (See Genesis 20).

We also have the example of king David, a man proclaimed by God Himself as a man after His own heart (1 Samuel 13:14/Act 13:22).  It is clear from all scriptural accounts that this unusual lover of God never lost a battle in all his lifetime (including all his 40years reign as king)--indeed, everyone that was an adversary to David perished

The love of God is a mysterious mystery in the kingdom. Among many other things, it offers the greatest security for the believer. So why don’t you sign up for God’s love today and join this army of the untouchables.

#2. Besides God’s preservation, the other blessing that God’s love offers is an assurance that we will make Heaven at the end of our journey

Lets look at our opening scripture again.  It says to “Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal Life” - Jude 1:21.  In other words, keep yourselves in the love of God because eternal life is at stake.  To help our understanding, lets examine a few scriptures.

Romans 6:23:

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

“...The wages of sin is death…”, speaking of eternal death which is eternal separation from God which results  in the second death (in the lake of fire) . That is contrasted by the gift of God which is eternal life (through Jesus Christ), which qualifies for eternity with Christ and God in heaven.

Now John 3:16 says:

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life

Having everlasting life, which is the same as eternal life ensures that you do not perish (in the lake of fire).  That implies you’ll make heaven.

In effect, whatever it takes to keep the flow of eternal life (everlasting life) is key to making heaven at the end of our journey on earth.  From our main text, we see that it will take the love of God to maintain that flow (the flow of eternal life).  As previously explained, the lord is admonishing us, to keep ourselves in the love of God because eternal life is at stake. Now lets look at a few more scriptures to confirm this truth.

In 1st John 4:21, it says:

And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.

That means loving our brother (or neighbour) is loving God (see also 1John 4:12).

1st John 3:15 also reads:

Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.

From the above text, it is clear that outside of God’s love, one is cut off from eternal life and will suffer the same fate as a murderer (I.e. the lake of fire).  This is why we’re admonished by the Lord to keep ourselves in the love of God so as to keep/maintain the flow of eternal life in our spirits and secure heaven at the end of our journey (you cannot miss heaven walking in love or loving God).

This is the reason the love of God will be under great attack in these last days according to bible prophesy/predictions.  It says in the last days iniquity shall abound so much so the love of many (for God) will wax cold (see Matthew 24:3&12).  It says many will become lovers of their own selves and lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God (see 2Timothy 3:1,2&4).

In essence, the lack or absence of love for God manifested in selfishness among others is a trap, weapon or bait of the enemy to lure many souls into hell in his fierce battle for souls in these last days.  Therefore the wisdom of God said to keep ourselves in the love of God so as to maintain the flow of eternal life (I.e. maintain our salvation) and as such secure our place in heaven at the end. You shall not miss your place in Jesus name.

Now let us try to understand better what the love of God is.  According to scripture, it is:

  • Loving God’s people and humanity at large (seeking the salvation of the lost)
  • Loving God’s kingdom (seeking to advance His kingdom with our time, prayer, energy and resources)
  • It is loving time alone in God’s presence (in word study, prayer, praise and worship)
  • It’s loving time in God’s house (fellowship with God’s people)
  • God’s love is a hatred for sin/evil (iniquity) and love for righteousness/godliness

May the Love of God distinguish you in this end time. Meanwhile, salvation or new birth is our first encounter with the Love of God. No one can walk in love without knowing God who is love Himself. Receiving Jesus Christ the son of God as our lord and saviour (which is salvation or new birth) is receiving the Love of God into your life.

In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. - 1John 4:9

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life  - John 3:16

If you desire this encounter, then let us pray:

I believe that Jesus is the Son of God who came to die for my sins and I confess Him as Lord and Saviour.  Thank you Lord.

Amen.

Congratulations! if you said that prayer. The Word of God says you are now a new creature and old things are passed away. All things are become new (2 Corinthians 5:17). In other-words, God will never call your past life (sins/faults) to remembrance. They are totally forgiven and forgotten. Check this:

I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins. (Isaiah 43:25)

Overcoming Temptations

 Jude 1:24

Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,

There’s no doubt we live in a world ridden with divers temptations.God did not promise us a trouble-free journey to heaven. Jesus clearly said: “… in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world - John 16:33

A great man of God said humorously that tribulation means trouble in every nation. That means no matter which nation you ran to, you will see trouble there. You cannot run from temptations, but good news is you can overcome them. Because God has not left us without help. Our text for this message says:

Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy - Jude 1:24

So, a vital key to overcoming temptations is to put our trust in God “…that is able to keep you from falling…”(Jude 1:24). Unfortunately, many have failed, trusting in themselves; they trusted will-power, their skillfulness and experience. Yet bible says to trust in the lord with all our heart and to not lean unto our own understanding (Proverbs 3:5, paraphrased).  No matter your will-power, skillfulness or experience, you’re dealing with an adversary that has more experience in the business than you do. He has been around much longer than you and longer than those who were here before you.  So, you cannot beat him to it. Satan is an old old devil. Our only hope is to put our trust in the one that is superior to the devil.  And that is God Almighty. He’s known as the ancient of days. He has been around longer than any other being in the universe.

When the devil came against Jesus on the mountain of temptation, Jesus did not trust in himself (that he was the son of God); He trusted in the Word. And remember the Word of God is God (John 1:1). So in essence, Jesus trusted in God when He was tempted.  On each account of temptation, He answered the devil with the Word of God.  He said: “…it is written…” and beat that old enemy hands down. If you will also do the same and lean on God’s Word, you will overcome every temptation that this crafty adversary may bring your way. And what assurance we have in the word related to us in this message:

“Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy”(Jude 1:24)

God is saying that He’s able to keep you from you from falling and not only that, He will present you faultless before his glorious presence with exceeding joy.  In other words, if you will put your trust in Him, on that great day of reckoning (at the end of time), you will be found faultless.

Thus overcoming temptation is not about how strong or weak a believer one may be.  The strongest have fallen, while some seemingly weak ones have been able to stand the test of time. So it’s about how strong one’s trust in God is to keep them from falling.

Meanwhile, our victory over temptations begins with new birth. Accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour is victory over sin, and a continues relationship with Him maintains that victory. If you desire to walk in this victory, then let us pray:

I believe that Jesus is the Son of God who came to die for my sins and I confess Him as Lord and Saviour.  Thank you Lord.

Amen.

Congratulations! if you said that prayer. The Word of God says you are now a new creature and old things are passed away. All things are become new (2 Corinthians 5:17). In other-words, God will never call your past life (sins/faults) to remembrance. They are totally forgiven and forgotten. Check this:

I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins. (Isaiah 43:25)

Making a Difference

 Jude 1:22

And of some have compassion, making a difference:

With compassion, we can make a difference in the lives of many.  We’re called to make a difference in the lives of others.  That means you can make a positive difference in the world where you are.  God brought us here as a value addition to the world (you’re not just another living statistics).  You can always make a difference where you are: in your home, neighbourhood, workplace, industry, nation continent, and the world at large.

During His life on earth, Jesus, with compassion, made a whole lot of difference both in the lives of individuals and in the lives of the multitudes.  For instance, with compassion He witnessed to the woman of Samaria who also went on to make a difference in her community by bringing them to Christ (see John 4:1-26/28-30).  With compassion, Jesus made a great difference in the life of a woman caught in adultery, rescuing her from being stoned to death (John 8:3-11). With compassion, He made a lot of difference in the life of an insane man in the country of the Gadarenes who had been possessed with about two thousand devils (see Mark 5:1-15).  And with compassion, Jesus made a difference in the lives of the multitudes.  Bible says,

...when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd. - Matthew 9:36 (see also Mark 6:34).

With compassion, He healed the sick (Matthew 14:14/Mark 1:40-42) and raised the dead (John 11:1-5/11-44, Luke 7:11-15).

Now the Word says, “Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith…” (Hebrews 12:2). Therefore looking unto Jesus (to draw inspiration from His life), we can also make a difference in our world today.  By speaking a word of encouragement to someone who is discouraged, for instance. By praying for a sick person; Or By giving to meet the needs of others in need (as the lord has blessed us).

Thus, our lives should make a difference in the lives of others.  That is what being a Christian is all about.

Jesus put it another way.  He said:

“Ye are the salt of the earth…Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid…” - Matthew 5:13&14

Light makes a world of difference in the midst of darkness.  And a little salt added in a soup, for instance, makes a whole lot of difference (no matter what other ingredients were added).  That means as salt of the earth and light of the World, we’re in this world to make a difference.  Will you decide today to make a difference in your world where you are?

Meanwhile, take note: you are not light until you encounter Jesus who is the true Light that lightens everyone that comes into the world (John 1:9).  If you desire Jesus in your life, then let us pray:

I believe that Jesus is the Son of God who came to die for my sins and I confess Him as Lord and Saviour.  Thank you Lord.

Amen.

Congratulations! if you said that prayer. The Word of God says you are now a new creature and old things are passed away. All things are become new (2 Corinthians 5:17). In other-words, God will never call your past life (sins/faults) to remembrance. They are totally forgiven and forgotten. Check this:

Destroying The Works of the Devil

 1 John 3:8

...for this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil

Jesus Christ, the Son of God was manifested to destroy the works of the devil.

What are the Works of the devil?

We shall examine briefly, three  (3) of them which are majors.

#1.  Sickness is a work of the devil

In Acts 10:38 concerning the earthly ministry of Jesus Christ, bible records,

How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.

He went about healing all that were oppressed of the devil.  That means, Satan the devil was the one oppressing them with sickness. So sickness is an oppression of the devil--it’s a work of the devil. Jesus was healing them because He was manifested to destroy the works of the devil, sickness being one of them (it’s a major work of the devil).

Therefore, in the name of Jesus, sickness is destroyed in your life. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today, and forever. His ministry of destroying the works of the devil continues today. Therefore every activity of sickness and disease in your life is destroyed, in the name of Jesus!

#2.  Poverty is another work of the devil

In 2nd Corinthians 8:9, it says:

For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich

Man was living in affluence in the garden of Eden. The garden had the best gold and other precious stones (see Genesis 2:10-12). Indeed, everything man required for his comfort was available in the garden.  He did no need to struggle to make ends meat or have anything.  Everything he needed was in abundant supply.  Then the devil came along and corrupted God’s man with pride and man was cast out of the garden.  So by the scheming of the devil, man was introduced to a new life of sweat and struggle or poverty (See Genesis 3:17-19).

So poverty, as we can see, is a principal work of the devil.  But God in His mercy sent His son Jesus to destroy the works of the devil, and that means eradicating poverty from our lives. For “…though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich”- 2 Corinthians 8:9

Therefore, in the name of Jesus poverty is destroyed forever in your life. Poverty will never know your name or address forever. Whatever havoc poverty may have wrecked in your life, it is over from today in Jesus name. If you have embraced Jesus into your life, know that you have embraced riches.  Poverty ended the day you received Jesus, and so shall it be from now in Jesus name.  Amen.

Finally,

#3.  Death is a work of the devil

In John 10:10, Jesus clearly exposed this ministry of the devil.  He said:

The thief [speaking of the devil] cometh not, but for to steal, and kill, and destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly (emphasis mine).

The devil came to kill and to destroy lives. He came to take lives. But Jesus came to give us life in abundance (that is to counter what the killer-destroyer came to do).  In simple plain language, the devil came to cause untimely death.  But Jesus came to give us long life. The Lord said in Psalm 91:16:

With long life will I satisfy you and show you my salvation.

So every harassment of untimely death in your life and family is destroyed in Jesus name. This is an area that the devil has wrecked much havoc in many lives and families: Robbing mothers and fathers of their children, depriving children of their parents (rendering some as orphans); innocent wives have become widows too soon, and husbands likewise. But by the Word of the Lord, the threat is over. Jesus came to terminate the harassment of untimely death.  He proved that very well during his ministry on earth.  We have examples in the gospels such as raising dead Lazarus back to life (John 11:1-14), raising of a widow’s only son that died (Luke 7:11-14) and the raising of Jairus’ Daughter (Mark 5:22-42).  And all these instances were young people who died and were raised back to life. Therefore I decree, no young person dies in your family anymore in Jesus name.

But much more importantly, we have an assurance in scripture regarding our dominion over untimely death, which is one of the finished works of Christ. First, in Hebrews 2:14-15

(14)  Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;

(15)  And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

That is, Jesus through his death and resurrection, destroyed the devil who once had the power of death.  So truth is the devil has no more power to kill.  He lost that power when Jesus died and rose again. That’s why Jesus made this bold declaration in Revelation 1:18:

I am he that liveth, and was dead; and behold, I am alive forevermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.

Who has the key of death? Is it the devil? A big NO! The key of death is in the hands of Jesus Christ. And if you’re a child of God (saved/redeemed by grace), then Jesus is on your side and He’s holding that key, not against you, but in your favour. He shuts and locks the door of untimely death on you--so that you will never step through that door. Therefore, every door of untimely death that may have been opened against you or your family is now locked in Jesus name. This revelation is the root of our dominion over untimely death.  Good-news is, you’ll never live in fear of death anymore.  The last harassment of death in your family is the last you will ever see in Jesus name. Amen.

What have we learned? That Jesus was manifested to destroy the works of the devil; and we have addressed sickness, poverty, and untimely death which are chief among them. Therefore, sickness, poverty and untimely death are now under your feet. Will you shout a loud amen to that!

Without being saved however, one is still living at the mercy of the devil and his works. Our only hope is to run to Jesus.

For  "How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him;" --Hebrews 2:3

When you turn over your life to Jesus, you escape the works of the devil. If you’re set for that, we can say a simply prayer.

LETS PRAY:

I believe that Jesus died for my sins and I confess Him as Lord and Saviour.  Thank you Lord.

Amen.

Congratulations! if you said that prayer. The Word of God says you are now a new creature and old things are passed away. All things are become new (2 Corinthians 5:17). In other-words, God will never call your past life (sins/faults) to remembrance. They are totally forgotten. Check this:

I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins. (Isaiah 43:25)

For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more (Hebrews 8:12 )

You Will Not Fall!

 2Peter 2:9

The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:

Are you facing temptations to compromise in this dark world where temptations abound? Temptations at the work place, temptations in the market place, on the street; temptations in the home (on TV, etc), temptations on the internet and social media? Temptations in your mind? Do you fear you may give in one day?

But the more important question is, are you a godly man or woman? (Do you fear God?) Then let me alley your fears. God’s word (the final authority on all issues of life) says that God knows how to deliver His godly ones out of temptation (2Peter 2:9 paraphrased).  So why don’t you take refuge in that. No matter how serious the temptation (no matter how tough the pressure to compromise), God says He knows how to deliver you--and He will deliver you!

Lets conclude with this reassurance from 1 Corinthians 10:13:

There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

The faithful God will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you’re able to bear.  And with every temptation that comes your way, He will make a way to escape. So your escape from every temptation of life is guaranteed.  Two more verses and we are done.

1 Corinthians 1:8:

Who shall also confirm you unto the end, that ye may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Finally, in 1 Thesalonians 3:13, it says:

To the end he may stablish your hearts unblameable in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his saints.

What is the Lord saying?

That He is able to keep you unto the end that when Christ returns the second time, you will be found blameless. I’m sure you want to shout a loud Amen to that! What a joy! Therefore, relax friend, and enjoy the Christian experience.

Meanwhile, until you are saved, temptations of life will swallow you up.  You have no power whatsoever to overcome them. Until you surrender your heart to Jesus, you are no match for the devil or Satan who is also known as the tempter.  If your heart is set to follow Jesus, then we can say a simply prayer.

LETS PRAY:

I believe that Jesus died for my sins and I confess Him as Lord and Saviour.  Thank you Lord.

Amen.
